TTC how long did it take?

Im not too familiar with the whole ttc thing, not that I am going to try for sometime but I was just wondering how long it has taken you all! Ill include a poll :)

We were lucky enough to conceive on our very first try..unlucky to mc though but take heart in the knowledge that we can fall.

I stopped the pill in Dec 05 and we are still waiting .... trying to be patient :rolleyes: I don't think I ever realised it would take this long - hopefully we will all not have to wait too much longer :fingerscrossed: We have friends that concieved both of their babies 1st month of trying and other friends who took 2 years ....

DS #1 was a 'suprise' as i was taking the pill.
Ds#2 took 3 months to conceive, i can't imagine how hard it would be to TTC for along time, i was impatient after 3 months.

DD1- 5months
DD2-2months (she was a surprise.. due to the fact that the mini pill disagreed with me...)

hopefully wont take too long when we eventually ttc #3 in the near future..

I had 2 answers for the 1 bub.
It was 5 years since first coming off the pil, but after being diagnosed with fertility problems, it was 3 months of insemination :thumbsup:

I am waiting to finish my meds (from CFS) so that I can start trying, I am starting to worry though, as some women are saying that they have been trying months & some women years! hugs to you all :hugs:

Its funny, cause my girlfriends (either with children and/or preg) have all fallen preg without trying, so I have always been under the impression that it was THAT EASY!! I guess not, and I hope that there is light at the end of the tunnel for all trying mummies and daddies to be...

I am still waiting for #1 as well...

I fell pregnant in June 06 in the sixth cycle of trying, but then miscarried recently I'll be TTC again as soon as AF arrives (getting very impatient!).

My friends and family with babies all fell pregant in the first month of trying, but I hear all kinds of stories at work and most women I speak to have had at least one miscarriage.

With my first child it took 8months, and my second, i was still breastfeeding and fell within a month. i had no idea about charting with my first two, so now i am charting so i know when i am ovulating.

Friend's of ours fell with both babies 1st month of ttc. Another couple we know just found out they are pregnant after a couple of months - even with 2 almost fully blocked tubes and endo ..... it took 2 1/2 years for their 1st - very happy for them!
