Hi everyone,

I'm going to start slowly weaning DS so that he is completely off the boob by 12 months. (He's 9 1/2 months now). He's currently BF with one FF at 7pm.

Should I try to wean him onto a cup rather that a bottle to avoid that battle at 12 months? If I do, should I put formula in his cup, or try full fat cow's milk?

I am one confused Mum!! :D

Any advice would be great!

My dd is only 1 day older then your bub :smiliedance:

I am currently ff my dd 3 times a day by bottle morning, afternoon and night. When she is 10 months I'm planning on giving her the afternoon feed by sipper cup and then slowly work her to a cup from there. Next will be the morning feed and last will be the night feed (which all going well will be a cup around the 12 month mark :fingerscrossed: ).

Whether or not my plan will work only time will tell. But in saying that I would be interested as to what other mums have tried and tested.

I'd go straight to cup rather than then have to wean again off the bottle later. Def give formula until 12 months tho and thne give fullcream milk :)

DS was completely onto a cup by 10 months and did great :)
