*Please Move this if it's not in the right section.

In a few months i wish to start up my Photography Business here in brisbane.

I would like to know what sort of packages people would be willing to buy and what sort prices.
I do on location and hopefully with have a full studio set up at my house (we planing to move ).

I would love to hear expectations, any advice etc.

I am thinking 1-2 hour long sessions depending on age, with 50- 70 photos on a disk or memory device + a option of printing. My old design business in adelaide i use to make photobooks, invite flyers etc.

thankyou

I wouldn't know what to expect, I just paid $300 for an on location shoot, with 50 images (edited) and she also gave me 10 photo cards with 10 prints. It was a Christmas special. I'm not sure what full prices are, but She generally does a Chrissy and mothers day special. This is on the gold coast. I have no idea if it's good or not, but I already plan on having another shoot around mothers day :)
Hope that helps :)

When I was starting up my interior design business, I called around to all of the designers in my area to inquire about what they charge...and then I set my prices slightly lower than theirs to begin with until I built a name for myself.

I don't know if that helps, but it was a good way to price myself appropriately.

we just had a shoot half hour location shoot, they drove there at own cost , we got 200 images on a disk and about 50 photoshopped/edited. we also got a deal where we got 20 christmas cards done with it.. and that was $150.. her work is amazing, and yes shes a professional and not a amateur. such a good price, now id never pay more than that!
