DS is 14 mths old and is getting a new tooth. It is coming in at a funny angle and im pretty worried about it. people keep telling me not to be seen as its only baby teeth but wont it effect the way the rest come in? I dont know if i should take him to the dentist or not...

When you say angle, what do you mean exactly?

its kind of twisted and seems like its not coming up in the right spot..like its in between where the teeth should be...if that makes any sense.

There isn't much they can or would do about it to be honest because it is only his first set of teeth, so it would be a waste of money to take him.
However, if he has had a huge trauma to his jaws (and you would know about it if he has), I would get it checked as there could be damage to his jaw causing his teeth to cut through awkwardly positioned.

My kids' baby teeth weren't straight, and when their adult teeth came through they weren't either. However when they hit about 9 or so, and lost some of the bigger baby teeth, their adult teeth straightened up all on their own.

Unless it's causing pain or discomfort etc I wouldn't worry at this point, there's not a lot a dentist would do about it I don't think!
