Ok I keep hearing about these but have never attempted to make my own. Does any one want to share their simple recipes? It's time I get cooking again.
DD loves the chewy or fruit filled ones.
TIA.

This is the basic recipe I use.

Although, I also cheat even further and just use a good bircher muesli mix (instead of mixing fruit, seeds, nuts and oats etc). I then add some extra coconut and then if I have it I add extra dried fruit (either apricots, sultanas or dried cranberries) then the condensed milk, so simple.
They are quite tasty too.
Please excuse my rudeness at crashing, especially because I don't have my recipe on me right now. I wanted to subscribe so I could come back tomorrow and post my own recipe. I am not a huge fan of dried fruits, but wanted nuts in there, so I created a recipe and it's super yummy. Happy to share tomorrow.

Tupperware now make a muslie bar shaper thing that comes with recipes. I saw it at a friends party two weeks ago. Not sure it is any good though.

I just made some, it turned out more like a slice but there is no added sugar, flour or eggs.
Mash 2 bananas, add one tbsp vanilla essence. Mix in cup of oats, raisins, 1/2 cup desiccated coconut, 1/2 cup lsa mix or linseed meal, and whatever else you want, I also added white chia seeds and some nuts. Press into a lined pan and bake at 180 for approx 20 mins or until golden.
I'm sure you could play around with this recipe and make it work for you. Mine turned out SO YUMMY!! And I love the fact there is no added sugar, just the sugar from the fruit.

Ok.... Oat & Honeys museli slice:)
I cup of oats
1 cup of sultanas
1/2 cup of sugar
1/2 cup of SR flour
1/2 cup of coconut
125- 140 g of butter (140g works better)
2tbsp of honey
Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl then melt butter and honey seperately in a small saucepan. Once melted, combine. Flatten in a lamington tray / slice tin and back at 180deg for 15-20 mins.
Cut into squares or bars while still warm.
You can also add chopped dates or playa round with your own combinations:) Trick is to cut while warm but not too hot or cold as it will crumble!

I make a muesli slice every weekend which serve as snacks for an entire week for my little man & I! Its soooooooo yummy!! Its a really fruity one. I think its so much better than buying the packet brands! It has a fair bit of butter & sugar in it but I'd seriously rather having it because I know EXACTLY what is going into our bodies!
125g chopped salt reduced butter
1/3 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons honey
1 & 1/3 cup rolled oats
1/2 shredded coconut
1/2 cup self raising flour
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1/2 chopped dried pineapple
1/2 slivered almonds
1/2 cup dried pumpkin seeds
Oven 180C
Use a lamington pan, line with baking paper
Heat butter, sugar & honey in saucepan until sugar dissolves
Stir in remaining ingredients
Press mixture into the pan & bake for about 20 minutes!
Yummo!!!!! :D

DailyDiversion I'm going to make the one you linked tomorrow. Also going to add some extra fruit.
I want to exchange the peanuts for something else though. Very aware of allergies and I would hate for one of ds's little friends to get their hands on one.

I don't add peanuts either and it turns out fine. I really just add what I have to hand, so I either use a Bircher muesli mix (I like Carmen's mix), or I use rolled oats, coconut and other chopped nuts if I have them (usually almonds) then whatever dried fruit I have. I've also added some rice bubbles before as well. It's so simple (like most of Nigella's recipes) just adding whatever you have to hand to the condensed milk and baking on low.

Has anyone got the T Bar from Tupperware? Apparently it's not made for baking. It's seems easy to make bars with this.

The T-Bar maker is really cool, I am a demonstrator and have one in my kit. It also comes with a recipe book with a few varieties of muesli bars in it plus things like chocolate brownies and caramel slice.
