Just thought I would see how everyone is going... We are doing well, Jude is drinking well, I'm not getting a whole lot of sleep, but admiring this beautiful creature so all is good... My 2 girls are feeling a little put out from this beautiful baby, and of course it is school holidays... So, our house is just upside down at the moment... How is everyone else??? :) :p :D

Hey, am glad you and little Jude going well, its a whole new world this sleep deprived state isnt it hehehe i am just so glad to not be pregnant anymore though and to be able to hold her :D
so Maya is pretty good too apart from her getting some colic only in the last week or so, (just found out that is the name for all the pain that goes along with feeding and burping afterwards poor little thing) and some nappy rash  but think we will get on top of that. It is pretty confusing all the different products to try isnt it, i swear we were trying about 5 different nappy creams at once! still havent settled on one type yet.
my house is a mess too but unlike my pregnancy pedanticness i just dont care now :)
my husbands two boys (that live with us week on week off) seem to be coping ok with the changes, i think they think shes pretty boring at the moment ;) whre as i just cant take my eyes off her!
hows everyone else going?

Time sure does fly as a new mum!! I can't believe Romilly is 4 weeks today!!!
Motherhood is such an overwhelming but amazing experience!! For me the hardest part has been coping with sleep deprivation, the tiredness and the odd occasions of feeling helpless when I can't get her to sleep/settle at night!!
Its getting better though, my DH is a great support but now is back at work, so I'm doing the nightshift with DD solo!! She only gets up twice per night and now that we've got the attachment/positioning issues resolved, the breastfeeding is improving. My nipples are still sore/cracked but I'm hanging in there. Was a little unwell with sore throat/cough last week but thankfully am feeling better and Romilly has been thriving (despite the antibiotics giving her the runs for two days!!) Our nappy service is fantastic and we are planning to continue after the initial 6 weeks. House is a mess, but have accepted that I can't get to everything and besides I had a caesar and should still be resting for the next two weeks!
On the plus side, she's a happy baby and we love showing her off to friends/family - she's always an angel when other people around (only grizzly when trying to get her to sleep ), we can't stop looking at her and its amazing how you can feel such limitless love for another person!!
Glad to hear that Jude and Maya (& their mums) are doing well too!!
I agree, all these products - how do you choose? Nursing pads, baby wipes, nappy rash creams etc?
Anyway enough of my ramble, I want to hear how the others are doing too! Z :)

Hi..if anyone wants to know, i started a new thread for August 05 mums in the general chat area...haven't had anyone else on there except zenifa yet....
Glad to hear everyone is doing well with their little bubbies. My little cherub Charlee is thriving and has filled out so much since birth (she's 5 weeks Thursday).....we've had a few problems with coilc, but have found a fabulous wind mixture that seems to be really helping. She still gets up twice a night, but generally settles after a feed and all up it only takes about half an hour to feed and change and get her back to bed! Mackenzie is ever the little mother and gets bottles out of the fridge and tries to help change bubs nappies! Sometimes too helpful though, like 'shoving' the dummy in Charlee's mouth when she's upset! She coos "Its okay Charlee" (or more like - 'sokay Charyee' as she can't say her l's properly!), when bubs is crying and pats her head softly....so sweet.
Anyway, feel free to pop in to the other thread if you want, if not i'll just move back here!!! Take care girls.... :)

Hi all, Well i can't belive my little Jade is nearly 4 weeks old!!! Time is flying by...My boos have settled down now thank goodness, so breast feeding is going well now!! Jade's feeding every 4 hours, so she feeds at 10pm, 2am, 6am, though the nite which isn't too bad. But some times she won't settle after her 2am feed, so she ends up staying in bed with us, so i can get some sleep. Jazz my 19mht old is taking all in his stride, i thought he would be put out being the baby and all. I give him little jobs to do and try and let him sit with me when i;m feeding Jade, so i think that has helped. Any way i better go as my little princess has woken up and is calling me. Glad to hear every body is doing well.
