My little man is 7.5 mo and already has four teeth. Every time he has teethed his ears have bothered him terribly. I think he may be getting more teeth now as he is constantly at his ears and scratching his head - sometimes so much so he makes himself bleed :( Any ideas how I can help relieve this irritation for him? I don't want to pump him full of painkillers every day - it takes a while for his teeth to come through (eg two top teeth started coming through at the beginning of December, finely came through last week). Amongst other things we have tried amber and hazelwood, Neurofen, panadol, Bonjella, teething tablets, chamomile tea soaked wash cloths, teething rings, rusks, dummy, hugs and kisses...I'm at a loss to know what more to do??
I've had the GP check his ears a few times - all clear.
sorry, I don't think there is much you can do. everything you are pretty much trying. DD had the same issue but usually ends with an ear infection.

Same with dd she pulls her ears and hair when there coming through. It doesn't seem to hurt her too much now, or maybe that was the top teeth. The bottom she would scream and wake up all the time, but the top just kind of cane through. I did notice her poo and wee was very smelly and it seems to irritate her bits when she is teething.
I've tried the amber as we and don't think they do that much.

Dd is the same, she digs her finger into her ear so much it ends up with a cut in it (thiswas when she was getting bottom teeth). I took her to the doctor twice but all clear. She just got a top tooth and spent a week pulling her hair. It is horrible to watch but nothing seems to help her so i just try to distract when i can and make sure she isn't doing any damage to herself. It seems to make her feel better strangely and as soon as the tooth is cut she stops it. :hugs: it isn't nice to watch is it.
