Hi ladies,

I am currently 16w2days with twins and I don't know if I am imagining movements or not. They feel diffenrent to may last pregnancies in that they are not gentle....it's like I can feel "rolling" or something....sounds so silly. I just want to feel them and know they are ok. My first pregancy was also twins whom I carried till 20 weeks. I have since had a daughter, a son and a miscarriage and now to our amazement we have twins again. I am not coping, I am so anxious, I just don't think I could handle going through all that again when we lost our beautiful little girls.

Thanks :)

I really feel for you. It is so stressful carrying multiple births, I can only imagine your anxiety after your losses.

My twins were my first pregnancy and I first felt popcorn popping type sensation at 13/14 weeks but I didnt really feel much again until 18 weeks. Once movement did start it was full on. The kicks were always hard and felt like I had limbs coming through my skin and the rolling movements got painful fast as they fought for room. It didnt take long until I could tell who was moving when but I could never distinguish if they were feet or head down etc

It was very different to this pregnancy which is a singleton this time. I couldnt confidently say I was feeling the baby moving until 18/19 weeks but in hindsight it did start earlier. You can feel this baby has a lot more room so the kicks arent as forceful, even now at 29 weeks. I can also feel how the baby is laying and can also feel the baby moving around a lot more, its not as squirmy!

My twins were my 5th and 6th children so I felt the movements quite early (about 15 weeks). At first it was the same sensation as 1 baby, little tickles from inside, but twice as often. But toward the end I felt as though a rugby match was going on inside my belly!

Dont worry about your fears with losing the bubs, I dont think I relaxed until 30 weeks!:)
