View Full Version : tummy pains
hi everyone,i have noticed that when indi doesnt do a poo for a whole day, that night she is in pain all thru the night.i asked my gp and he said brown sugar in water helps but i tried it the other day and still no poo!does anyone else know of anything that may help.maybe some prune juice or something??the trick is getting her to drink it though.

i find brauers stomach calm really good when ozzy goes a day without a poo - he'd be up all night wriggling around uncomfortably without it. it's herbal and tastes just weird enough that most kids don't mind taking it from the dropper :)
Hi,
I had to use Prune Juice with Wyatt as nothing else worked. You can get Baby prune juice from the supermarket (Baby section), it's already diluted with water, but I diluted it again half and half, it worked wonders :)
Hey
are you sure thats the prob?im not doubting you or anything but BF babies can go like 5 days in between pooping.
What I do if rileys contisipated,is get some prunes, put about 5 in a bowl with water just covering them and cook them for like 2 mins then blend them up.i usually mix it with apple or pears then put the leftover water in a cup for riley to drink.pears are good for contisapation too,and bananas block ya up so aviod them.
hope this helps and indi feels better soon!
thanks for the advice girls.she just did her first po in 3 days.it was like i won the lottery i was so happy.never thought id be so happy to see a poo.yeh chels i have noticed a real pattern of when she hasnt done a poo that that night is restless :detective: .i know bf babies can go days and its nothing to worrry about but its not like her to skip a day.so hopefully will be a good night tonight.ialso use stomach calm when she seems restless.at times it seems like it helps then othrs im not so sure, but maybe would be much worse without it???thanks again girls
i had the same problem with both ofmy boys, and they refused to drink the prune juice, so i mixed a little bit in with farex and that seemed to go down a lot better. And you just have to remember that good old saying,.... "it won't happen over night, but it will happen."
haha:laughing: How corny is that, but it is true
LOL! Kara :P
I know what you mean about celebrating a Poo Monica, Daniel and I did when Wyatt finally unblocked
