Im thinking about starting a beauty therapy course but not sure which one is best? How much do these courses cost? I saw one on the internet that charged almost $10000. Im a single mum and no way could I afford that. Has anyone else done one?

hi im 17 and in adelaide. i am interested in that course aswell and i am going to tafe to do the diploma.

if i can ask some questions i will be able to tell you the requirements for the course

what is your higgest year level completed from highschool?

where do you live?

can you do a course full time, part time, evening, day?

I finished year 12 in 96. Im 28 next week so I will probably be considered a mature age student? Not sure.
I live in Vic and I will probably only be able to do part-time study.
Can you do an apprenticeship/traineeship type thingy with this course?

well im am looking at the diploma in adelaide which is a four year course.
i will have a look for the one from victoria and let you know.

go to search courses
then click on study groups
then on to hospitality, tourism and personal services
there is a large range of courses starting at cert 11 in beauty services to diploma

I live in the Ipswich area and I did my beauty therapy diploma at the Bundamba TAFE and then finished it off at the southbank TAFE. I found that it was a great course and a lot cheaper than the beauty schools. It is more relaxed also, not so much crammed in to 1 year. I think they do it over 1 and half years. I have been working as a beauty therapist now for 8 years and worked at the same salon for 7 of those years. I love it!! On maternity leave now though. It's a great course to do, even if you only do it for your own knowledge!:wave:

i did mine a couple of years ago and in the end it was sbout $9000. That was at a private beauty college.:)
