present to and from an older child...

i've been reading that it's good for me to go out with my older child to buy a present for the new twins ....and get a present for my DS and say they were from the twins.

My DS is just under 2 and the twins are one boy one girl...

Did any of you do this too? what did your kids buy? any ideas what i could get??

Ethan bought his sister some colouring books and baby stuff, like a pram she could push with her baby while mummy pushed Ethan.
Nat bought a rattle/teether thing for Ethan. We are going shopping tomorrow so she can choose something to give the new baby.
