I just thought that this might be a nice occasion but i would like you to let me know how you feel on this?
Theres quite a few of us on her who have or are going to turn 21 this year. I thought that it would be a nice gesture to celebrate with everyone for all of those are celebrating their 21st this year. Im thinking of doing this event next month as its Natalie1985's 21st and she's had a rough year. What does everyone think? Im also thinking to have it as an AO night out as we are celebrating 21st. Im going to start up a list of people who have/going to turn 21 this year. Please add yourself if this applies to you too. Just so that we know who we are celebrating for.

Also what Naomi forgot to mention is this can be a combined Syd AO night with our 21st Celebrations :D So two parties in one haha:laughing:

I voted the 14th of October as peter is staying with his dad that night but im able to organise babysitting on the 21st also if needed....

I turned 21 last year and it was a real let down... Hubby was away, I was in Sydney alone with no family or friends around, no one at work knew and only after I received 3 bunches of flowers did someone ask what was going on... "Its my 21st b'day" :gloomy:
I've told hubby that there is to be NO repeat this year, otherwise I would be boarding a plane and going to Brisbane to see my friends. Fortunately he has already began organising a few things which hopefully will pan out (he's not the greatest organiser, but has a heart of gold to boot :))

Hey Girls the 21st is probably better for me as my ex will not be having pete stay the night on the 14th as he has a bucks weekend but is making up for it by taking him on the 21st..... BUT if the 14th suits most ppl ill see if my mum can have Peter for the night as they'll be settled into their new house by then....

A restaurant sounds good... Lebanese? Mexican? I think that Nemosmum still wants to try out that Egyptian place.. but its kind of hard to get to transport-wise. Umm - otherwise there are STACKS of places in Surry Hills. Or we could go for a HUGE Chinese BANQUET or something yummy like that...

I voted for the 14th, but any other night other than the 21st is great for me! (We are going away the day before that) A restaurant in Surry Hills sounds good Ally, easy to get to and not to far from the city if we want to go somewhere afterwards :cool:

Iv checked out the menu (as one does:D ), im such a pig!:laughing: And the prices seem pretty standard for a restaurant i think.
$18 and upwards for starters, 27.50 and upwards for mains, $12 and upwards for deserts.

I haven't been there before - just did a search for Italian in Surry Hills and that was one of the nicest places that came up. And why did I google Italian? Cause I felt like Italian at the time.
But now I feel like... Mexican...

It might be a little pricey if we decide to get a main and a desert (Hey, I'm having my desert - alright! :D) Perhaps we should google for something else.
I remember going to a lebanese place in Surry Hills for a BubHub meet once before and it was a great night - plus the little rooms were all segmented so you kind of had a 'private space'. Emads was the name of the restaurant - and it shouldn't be a problem to get to either. Its on Cleveland St somewhere - I can get the address.
Otherwise we can try and find somewhere else in the city - maybe something closer to Central station for those who are getting public transport. Though, speaking from past meets - there tends to be a trend in NOT using public transport at night. If this is the case then we MIGHT be able to look outside of the city??
Or maybe I'm just thinking (talking) too much. Tell me to be quiet at any time now - really, I wont mind :)

dh is going to be so heartbrken if partners can't come. He has to listen to me day in day out talk about bubhub. Plus i think it'd be good for the dads to get together too-dont know about al of you but we dont have many parental friends

Buddha Bubbas - only 3 couples have given me confirmations that they are coming (and yes, each with their partners). I didn't realise it before, but that weekend is going to be our last opportunity to see DH's folks before Christmas so may not make it.
I was hoping for a few more replies to PM's by now... Oh well.
since there is not a lot of interest and lots of people cannot make it shoud we change it until the weekend after or something?
