Yeah pretty good actually. I'm one of the lucky ones, although I felt sick all day every day for 2mths I never actually threw up. A little bit of reflux now but nothing bad and my only real complaint is swollen feet! I'm sure a lot of girls hate me  Though 'they' say if you have an easy pregnancy you have a hard newborn and vice versa. Sorry I didn't reply sooner, I don't have the internet at my new house yet! Hopefully sorting that out this week :fingerscrossed:

Hey Ashes!

I'm still pregnant but not for much longer I think... having some pains today/tonight and I'm not sure if it's the start of labour or just pre-labour. This is my first so I'm kinda out of my depth!

I'm booked in at Sunshine Hospital. Unfortunetly I left it too late to get into the midwife program at Werribee (which sucks because it's 5 mins drive compared to 25 mins) and I didn't think I could afford an OB. Turns out it's under $500 to have an OB so I should have done that from the start but oh well. I did the tour at Sunshine on Saturday and it looks nice enough.

Seems like it was just pre-labour. Poo.. I was so hoping to go into real labour last night. I'm almost 39wks now and so huge I can't sleep properly, or do anything but sit on my bum really  Can't wait to meet my little man!

Any news?? You must be frustrated!

I've never been to Sunshine..I'm guessing it's ok? Where abouts in Hoppers are you? Do you have a mother's group?

I'm having bub at Frances Perry.. heard way too many scary stories about Werribee.. maybe it's lucky you're not having your little man there!

My fingers and toes are crossed for you and bub! :):)

Nope, my day of pre-labour was just that. I'm almost the last one left in the Due In Feb group. To be honest I heard bad things about Sunshine more than Werribee but I suppose all hospitals get that. I have a student midwife that's following my pregnancy and will be present at the birth. She's doing her placement at Heidelburg Mercy and says she hated the midwives and doctors there and wishes she could stay with me at Sunshine. I've actually had great care so far, the middys are brilliant and the labour/maternity wards look nice.

I live not too far from the train station, about 10 mins walk. I haven't got a mother's group yet, I figured I'd wait until bub was born. There is a young Mum's group in the area but I haven't sussed it out yet. I'm lucky that in the Due In Feb group on BH there are a few Melbourne girls that I've met so it's nice to have some friends at the same stage as you (though they've all given birth already!).

Do you use Facebook? Send me a PM if you like and I'll give you my profile link.. my privacy settings are quite high though, people have trouble searching for me

Hi hun :)
I'm actually in Hoppers now.. where do you think you'll move to? I'm 14 weeks at the moment and struggling big time.. so so sick. How are you feeling?
We should catch up when you move.. where are you moving from?

Hi ashes,

We're moving from Newcastle NSW (mid coast) and we've been trying to decide between tarneit and caroline springs and surrounds. i'm a bit concerned about the isolation of the newer estates in Tarneit as i don't drive and as i get more pregnant and bigger I will likely not want to ride my toddler and myslef around on my bicycle anymore lol. so i'm very torn. but wherever we end up i would definitely like to catch up once we get down there (only three weeks away YIKES!)

have had pretty terrible morning sickness this time around, and nothing seems to help, i'm really holding out for the end of the first trimester to ease things off but who knows this could end up like last time where i threw up every day including the day she was born lol.

Almost there now, the movers are booked for next tuesday, however our stuff won't arrive til the monday after. we still don't have a house however hoping that is resolved by the end of this week :fingerscrossed:

i am now 14w4d, and while the morning sickness is easing it certainly isn't gone but at least i have a little more energy to play with DD now. How aobut yourself? you must be nearing your morphology scan?
