Just wondering you many days you girls ovulate for?
This is my first mth of using "maybe baby" and it seems I ovulated for 3 days.
Is this right?
I thought you are only suppose to ovulate for 2 days.
Sorry if I sound silly
Hi  Once released - your egg only survives for 12 hours on average - max 24 hours. But sperm can live in fertile cm for up to 5 days .
12 hours is ovulation. Best time to fertilise is just before ovulation.
As the others have said ovulation does not last long.
However your fertile time is based on your Cervical Mucus (CM) building up to the point of ovulation. Fertile CM actually acts as a 'bridge' of sorts helping the sperm to get into the cervix so they can make their way up to the egg. Sperm can survive within us for up to 5 days so in the few days before and the day of ovulation is the best time to BD (Baby Dance) so the sperm are ready to meet the egg when it is released or soon after.
Oh, and if you want to confirm ovulation I suggest monitoring your BBT (Basal Body Temperature). You can read up on it on www.fertilityfriend.com it is a popular and very informative web site and has a free membership (or you can upgrade to a fancier one for a cost) to help you track ovulation.

Thanks girls for your help and advice. I have worked it our. On two of the days I thought I was ovulating it was accually the transition stage.
I think I will need a few mths of practice before I get it right!
I didn't use a maybe baby but I plotted CM on a calendar for a few months before I was fairly confident on my days. It will come. :)

From memory you only ovulate for 24hrs. Thats why you have to be quick when it happens!!
