It all started on monday when my sweet dd came home from school with ½ a dozen chicken pox spots on her! She is absolutely covered now and we have had to resort to phenergan to get her to sleep as she cries in pain every time she moves and because of having them on her bottom she stands 90 % of the time that she is up! I feel so helpless knowing that she is in pain and yet a cuddle would cause even more pain ...:crying:

I went to the doctor yesterday after having two days of excruciating headaches and muscle/joint/bone achiness and while I was in the waiting room my spots started appearing! I don't have many (yet) but they are in such awkward places like right on my bra line, on my scalp, in my ears and one in the corner of my eye which looks like a huge lump of "sleep"!

My mil and fil are due to arrive here tomorrow and my house is a mess! DH has been working long hours and I feel sorry for him having to get stuck in tonight and get everything up to scratch ... we can't delay them, as they are on thier way home to NZ after a trip around europe and we don't have any way of contacting them!

Anyway ... misery loves company, so I just had to tell ....

:hugs: I hope it is over and done with in a few days. Get some Paraderm Plus cream and an antihistamine, they should help.

you poor thing :hugs:
grab all the mess around and throw it into a big garbage bag and put it in your cuboard. You dont need to deal with it at the moment, leave it for when your feeling better!

Oh Kyra, I know exactly how you are feeling..... My 2 DD's and myself had the dreaded pox last year about this time (apparently it loves spring!!).

Take it easy - try Pinetarsol solution for bathing in, it helps stop the itchy!!

You will probably feel a bit like staying in bed for a couple of days. :hugs: to you, hope you feel better soon.
