Hehe well basically not put out for ages and then when i ovulated it only needed the one go to get UTD :D

We bd'ed all over the place and got a boy first attempt ;). Had heard that timing can influence gender, but wasn't willing to risk it by being too narrow timing wise. BFP was a much more important goal!

I have no idea when I ovulate and we just DTD whenever we felt like it... Got a boy first and have a little lady due in a few weeks.

Nope. DP works away and was home for a full month (first time in 11mths) so we just dtd every second day with Preseed, i dont know when i ovulated. Baby is a surprise. Good Luck.

Only one of my three was 'planned' so to speak... for him pretty sure we DTD day of ovulation... there was no testing as such, but I have a 28day cycle so bd over days 14/15 from memory, that was DS2.

DS1 was honeymoon period so all other the shop and every other day.
DD, still can't believe we conceived her having not had a period in almost 2yrs and sex like once a month.

We BD the week leading up to expected Oing, then until I O'd, then BD on Oing day and I think 12 hours after Oing.

I was trying for a girl and in all honesty I thought if all the earlier 'girl' sperms hadn't found the egg by Oing day or after then they were going to get beaten by the 'boy' sperm.

This pregnancy we used the 0+12 method to TTC a girl. So we only DTD once, 12 (ish) hours after ovulation (so the following day). 20 week ultrasound suggests that we're having a girl :)

Were you precise/strict with your methods or was it a healf hearted kind of attempt?

Yes I have noticed that too, that of the people I know the unplanned pregnancies resulted in more girls than boys.

I only just read about this method but I wish I had heard about it 20 or so weeks ago. If Df says we can go again I'll be looking into this alot more. Did u do anything else?

Nope .. Concieved twin boys when we were away together alone and drunk so I cant be exact on when they were conceived ..
As for this one .. No idea how/when except it would have been very late at night and half hearted effort :| poor dp lol

I had it all my my iPhone showing the window and ovulation days etc. Thing is we were trying to avoid getting pg. Then I realized I had a wrong date in giving me a 72 day cycle at one stage took that out and looks like we concieved right in the middle of fertile time. And yep it's a boy.. It also shows rhe chinese gender calendar too which also says it was a boy day.

Yes, i went on a diet (a bit of a half arsed diet, but i tried to limit my sweetie and salt intake, drank and ate a heap of dairy, cut out chocolate, soft drinks :eek: I took calcium and magnesium supplements, used sylk lubricant, missionary position, no orgasm ;)

I took a look back at my own personal conception history (granted, i have a bigger than average conception history lol). DS1, 2 and 3 were all concieved on, or close to ovulation. DD and DS4 i have no idea....but i do know that i wanted to be pregnant when DD was concieved, and DIDN"T when DS4 was concieved, so i reckon DD may well have been an 0+12 baby (i wasn't having regular periods, so i may have noticed signs of ovulation, and gone for it afterwards with DH)...DS4 i was trying NOT to get pregnant, and i know we didn't DTD too close to ovulation. I think it's likely we DTD well before ovulation...making him a failed shettles baby (for want of a better term lol)

Wow 6. That's so nice she has little sis now. Was ur partner more than happy to go for 6? I have to try convince Df to go for 4 and I think that's going to be hard. I'm just hoping he see's how bad I want it. Gotta get through this one first :D

Yeah, he's pretty easygoing lol. We haven't really 'planned' any of our kids as such, except for this one, obviously....we just don't use protection and see what happens. DH has always known that i wanted to have another girl at some stage....i think this one will probably be our last though :(

DD was a nice surprise so no idea on sex in regards to ovulation.

DS1 we DTD 10th nights in a row, starting before ovulation, during and after.

DS2 we DTD over the 3 days I had fertile CM .

I didn't really do the timing thing but with DD1 we had sex every second day as soon as i finished af for about 2 weeks (got sick of it :laughing:) and then not much after that and got pregnant that month.
With DD2 we just had one night of irresponsible passion and fell pregnant (was waiting for af to start ttc as i just had a m/c so wasn't planned).
If we have a third (unlikely) i think i'll try swaying for a boy, in a relaxed kinda way.

With my first two pregnancies, I used Fertility Friend to track fertility signs (BBT, CM etc) and we DTD on the day of ovulation both times... I had two boys as a result.

With my third pregnancy, we were TTC however we were overseas at the time... so we DTD without knowing exactly when I ovulated... this time around, I had a girl.

We kind of haphazardly DTD a couple of days either side of what my iphone app said was ovulation day, but I don't know when conception actually took place. We're expecting a girl in a couple of weeks. We weren't swaying though :)

#1 - Everyday = GIRL (just wanted to get pregnant)
#2 - O day = BOY (was trying for a boy)
#3 - O day = BOY (was trying for a boy)
#3 - O day = BOY (didn't have a preference either way but was hoping for another boy)

The Shettles method was correct for all of mine :)
