For anyone who is, or that has friends or family that have been affected by the Queensland floods the Australian Government has authorised the 'Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment' of $1000/adult $400/child be paid to those affected.

To make a claim, call the National Emergency Call Centre (Centrelink) on 180 22 66.

Furthermore, those who have/will experience a loss of income as a result of the flooding may be entitled to the 'Disaster Income Recovery Subsidy' and again can claim by calling 180 22 66.
