Another note:

For those of you who have facebook, several WAHP businesses have set up charity auctions, where all the proceeds are going to the Premiers Flood Relief Fund.

One I am following mainly because it's not hosted by a business (ie not on a business FB page, therefore not promoting one main business) is the QLD Flood Relief Fundraiser (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Qld-Flood-Relief-Fundraiser/138153132912633).

There are many more out there at current, but am loathe to add them here because it really is business promotion, whereas the one above as I said is a stand alone auction. Basically all items are donated by various FB business people (mostly WAHP) and you can bid on any item you wish for as much as you like. All monies raised are going straight to a good cause. :) So, if like me you live regionally and options to help out are limited (although still available) this might be a good opportunity. :)

Also, I would like to remind everyone to please check out the organisation you are donating too ... unfortunately there are people out there who think nothing of taking advantage of this situation to make money for themselves. :(
