Out of all the stuff we buy for kids not all of it gets used... some of it was just an impulse buy...
What are the things you bought that you wish you didnt waste the money on??
And whats the one thing your super glad you did buy?? :detective:
Wasted money on a Kapoochi baby carrier (DD hates it).
Glad I bought a Hug-a-bub (DD loves it).
 ~ Tupperware's classic kids collection of little containers, bowls and cups, invaluable for playgroup, in the car, at the shops....etc etc, Love them :D
 ~ A sling that DH bought when I first had Coops, cant remember the brand but it was one of those one that the baby sits in front and their are holes for their legs? Biggest waste of money every, couldnt get him in and out, ended up buying a much more comfier one for Tilly.
Portable cot  both my kids loathed it.

Oh i was thiking the portacot would be on the list... my bassinette that is years old has developed mould on it so of course DD has been taken out of that. I wasnt ready for her to go into her room yet so i put the portacot up in our room... its actually quite good. It has a basinette insert for when they are this age so its working well for us.
And we may not have used it if this didnt happen cos she never stays overnight anywhere. But she might when she is older i guess.
The one thing im really glad i bought which i thought was a waste of money at first was the swing. She loves it and is in it all the time... everday. I dont know how i did without it for DS.

 ABA baby carrier - never used it, bath seat - I hated it
 electric swing, babyroo (cheap version of HAB), manual rocker used for both my kids
My portacot has become very handy for day sleeps for my toddler, as he won't stay in his big boy bed through the day, and when he was a baby I put it in the lounge room for day sleeps. I bought a bassinet for Lachy (DS2) and it has been well used because he is/was so small.
A lot of stuff that I have for #2 wasn't needed for number one, and it depends on the baby

I think there are a ton of stuffed animal toys that people have given DD as presents...they just take up space and are rather useless (she doesn't play with them at all).
Baby talc is something I recieved A LOT OF at my baby shower...none of which I have ever used. It's still sitting there though...
I also got given an electric swinging rocker thing...and I gave it back. DD didn't like it, and neither did I. It made an awful noise, and it worked no better than a regular motionless cheap rocker. The cheap one was also a lot easier to carry/transport (because I didn't have to take it apart to do so).
The best purchases (other than the standard cot/pram/carseat...) I've made were my baby carrier (only last her first 6 months of life, but i used it heaps), the rocker, the change-table (I didn't buy this before I had her...because I didn't know whether I'd need one or not...but it was just SO MUCH EASIER to have one). I'm also very pleased with her high-chair and new stroller...

Waste- DD's cot (she co sleeps & has used it about 5 times her whole life) Portacot, bassinette, baby sling (they dont last long!)
Best- obviously first car seat, high chair, pram.
Change table- i hate bending over to change bubs at other peoples houses. Plastic spoons & forks. Umm I know theres heaps more but i cant think right now :o
Worst Purchase more cause only used it for a little while was a bumbo seat - really for the cost it didnt get much use as EJ was sitting by 5 months
Best Purchase - portacot with a shallow insert as she slept in this till 6 months. Also Wiggles DVD's cause it gives me the chance to have a shower or do something if i have to lol
Rocker
Excersaucer
Hugabub
Bath Aide
Gigantic nappy bag never use it
Jolly jumper scares me to bits, need to buy the frame I think

probably the portacot, thats been great for both my daughters, they loved it! and it was great cause i could pack it up and move it anywhere i wanted and if i needed to take it with us somewhere on holiday etc it was so easy! also the worst was a baby carrier/sling, it was given to us, but it only fitted my DH around the waist, it didnt fit me at all, so i couldnt even use it! i think thats all..

 stuffed toys!!!
but those pram toys are fantastic
 porta-cot ~ Alexi sleeps anywhere, so this is great for grandma's. change table ~ I had shocking back pain until I bought one. Rocker, omg how do people live without these?? and formula dispenser, this is my favourite by far!
 my baby carrier, I forget the brand, its a cheapie from ebay, the blue and purple striped one, its pathetic. I lose feeling in my left arm and get back pain so bad I want to cry!
I found I never really used my nappy bag & always just chuck what I need strait under the pram & take my normal handbag.

 Portacot, we go away a lot.
 Hard one, we use most of the stuff we got.
Actually, this sounds terrible but a lot of the unisex stuff we were given, being our first bub all I wanted to do was use pink in her cot and on her. I'll probably find use for it next time though, I dare say I wont care as much! So maybe I wouldn't say its completely useless!
 The non-Pumpkin Patch baby clothes. I never put them on him. Most of them have gone straight into the bag I am passing along to my cousin in December, brand new. I always reach for the PP stuff so that's all I am going to buy from now on.
All the cute hats I bought and knitted are unworn coz he has loads of hair and its too cute to cover.
The spare change table has been used once.
The bottles I bought in case breastfeeding didn't work out are in the cupboard unopened.
 Love the bath seat thing, the hooded towels and all of the cuddly rugs and the vibrating rocker.
 loved my snug as a bub rug wrap for my winter baby, so warm and could put her in the car seat pram all wrapped up.
all the slings, i used the ring sling, the meh tai, and a front pouch facing out one.
bassinet for the early days, so easy to have next to the bed.
king sized bed, bought this when #2 was on the way, so glad we are not too squashed at the times when everyone decides to pile in.
baby bath on stand, it was a good height for me.
 prams, i just could never quite find the right one until now when she is in a simple stroller.
cheap nappy bags that fall apart, i wish i had bought a good one in the beginning.
pretty dresses, they are just not practical for crawling and climbing and learnign to walk that babies do. nice pants are better.
we've wasted so much on usless stuff, like a change table, baby baths (luandry or kitchen sink worked better), bouncernet (you know tho old style net ones, not the new rocker ones which by the way I found great!!) others things, swings, a few prams (I went through so may trying to find the "perfect" one LOL) highchairs, so many toys!! Baby carrier thingies, potties (straight to the big toilet I found is the best, but with a insert thing for small bums LOL) Portacot, hated them, play pens were good for barriers to keep the kids out of stuff, like putting the christmas tree in LOL

Personally, I'm glad we were given a cot, because it's hardly been used (another co sleeper) and would have been a very expensive storage space.
Thumbs up to our baba sling - it's great! We do lots of singing, and at Christmas time (DD was only 6 weeks by Christmas Day) we went carolling with her in the sling and she slept the whole time! She still goes to sleep in the sling when we're rehearsing and she's 10 months now.
Personally, I'm glad that we've spent so little. We give her ordinary household objects like tupperware, and make rattles out of clear water bottles and she loves them! Babies are so easy to please :p (well... you know what I mean!)
Change table - I'd be lost without it!
High chair - Same as above
Jolly Jumper - DS loved it!
Vibrating Swing - HATED it and so did he - It was also very bulky!

 hooded towels (bath sheet is bigger and better), swing, cheap clothing (bloody presents...), teething ring (both boys didn't like it), baby powder (never used it), Jonson & Jonson's baby oil
 change table, highchair (I just wish I bought a bit more long lasting one), good nappy bag, pram that folds easily and isn't too heavy, "clever" toys that "grow up" with the bub, bonds bodysuits (so easy to wash + no ironing), portacot, The Wiggles CDs and DVDs, good kid's books
:yelclap: Gro Bag (sleeping bag) - just fantastic as my bub wouldn't stay under sheets or blankets.
Hire of capsule from Qld Ambulance for first 6 months.
Fisher Price battery powered swing (side to side)
exersaucer (aka jail)
board books
Stuffed toys
Talc
Baby Oil
too many cot sheets
 fisher price kids table
 swing
 too many bunny rugs
 Would be a baby bath! So much easier to bath bub in the kitchen sink ... it was the right height, didn't have to carry a heavy bath elsewhere to empty it and when they had outgrown the sink then we moved onto showering and using a big bath when we visited friends!
 Would be a bouncinette! Both of my bubs used to push off a couch to bounce themselves really vigourously, giggling contstantly. They would happily bounce themsleves while playing with a baby gym and it also doubled as a bed when they were newborn ... much easier to take away with us than a portacot and because it was a bit upright my refluxy bub was much happier!

 Baby bath- He just baths with us. Jeans- They look too cute on him, but he hates them, not as comfy as his bonds clothes. 3 wheel pram- its too heavy, would like a super light one now.
 Rocker/Bouncer thing- always sit him in it. Change table- Everyone says you dont need one just do it on the floor/bed, but we have so many cloth nappy items its just great to have an area for changes. Hug-a-bub- Best sling ever.
