Hi,

I would like to know if anyone is interested in sharing their recipes for yummy meals for mums to be? And any hints on healthy snacks for when you get hungry. Or healthy snacks to take to work. Im a bit lost when it comes to snacks.

good idea TNTbub!

not so sure i can help with the "healthy" side of things lol as i have been naughty lately.....but i do try and be healthy.....for morning tea i find that raisin toast and maybe a decaf tea or coffee keep me going.

today i brought in baked potato's for lunch with all the condiments (mushrooms, corn, asparagus, cheese, lite sour cream, guacamole, tomato salsa and spring onions) it was such a delicious lunch and i had enough for a couple of the staff who enjoyed it with me

also for snacks you might want to cut up some carrots and celery and store them in a container with water for easy access......you can jazz them up by either eating them with some low fat dips or dressing them with lemon and ground cummin for a delicious and interesting flavour.....mmmmm

TNT bub - I found if I ate a really good breakfast, including some kind of protein I coped better at work. (BTW - you need to add an extra dairy portion a day while pregnant ie 3 serves per day). Morning tea I would have an apple or banana, and for afternoon tea I almost always had a yoghurt and also had carrot sticks and dips, or I bought the pre packaged cheese and bikkie slices in the supermarket fridges.

For lunches I had lots of tuna at work, and sometimes would cook up chicken or bacon for a sandwich the next day. I ate lots of tuna salads, and also another favourite was avocado and tomato on vita weats (the 9 seed ones). I also ate lots of leftovers.
