My Swaddlebee AIO arrived today...its a size Medium, My DD is 7 kgs and it looks sooooo teeny tiny....as I only have experience with Green Kids and Fuzzi Bunz can anyone tell me if this is how they are meant to be?? I haven't tried it on her yet but I am assuming its going to be a tight fit, it looks even smaller than my Fruit Salad! Thanks everyone

I don't have the AIO but do have their pockets and they are tiny. Trimness is one of their selling points and you really can't tell it's a cloth nappy under clothes (so even cut for disposable jeans will fit :smiliedance: ). The only problem I found with them was that because they were so small, they didn't have as much absorbancy as other nappies which just means more frequent changes so no big deal.

They are a small fit yes ! I too was shocked by this considering i got a large & thought my gosh how will this fit !!!!!
But it does & its great as Lucy said the fact it fits under any piece of clothing like a disposable is great.
I have the hemp insert & have found it lasts us 2-3hrs but thats also on an 18mth old who isnt drinking as much milk as a littlie so you may find it needs to be changed at 2hrs but testing it out will let you know !
They are a great nappy once you get the hang of them just make sure the insert is in right because they are so trim i found i didnt stuff them right to begin with & had leaks but after that we have gone great guns & they are a fav to take out being so small

Babytoo : I am looking at ordering some today, my son is 7.2kg, I'm interested to know if the medium fits your DD? I was concidering buying a large and a med. Have you tried them yet?

Do you guys also use the hemp inserts sold by weewuns or another brand? I thought the hemp heiny's stuffins which are oval were unusual. Has anyone used these? Also Has anyone used the silk liners???

While were on the subject Babytoo you also mentioned you are use to Fuzzi Bunz are they worth buying as I may get one of those at the same time?

Sorry if I went off the subject.

If you don't mind me jumping in...I found the Swaddlebees to be on the small side so if you have a chubby/rotund bubba, I'd go for the larger size so that you can get more use out of it. If they end up being too big, you can either wait til bubba grows into them or most WAHMs are willing to exchange if the nappies are unwashed and unused.

Do you guys also use the hemp inserts sold by weewuns or another brand?
Are you talking about using different brand inserts with the Swaddlebees or just in general? The Swaddlebees need their own special insert because they are so trim. I have some WeeWuns boosters that I've used from boosting flat terries to stuffing pockets with. Mine are an older style so I can't comment on the current contoured inserts execpt to say I think it's a great idea.

I thought the hemp heiny's stuffins which are oval were unusual.
Haven't tried Hemp Heiny.

Also Has anyone used the silk liners???
I considered it in the begining when I was in my 'don't want anything synthetic to touch DS's skin' phase LOL They are supposed to be great for rashes but sound like a pain to look after since they need to be handwashed at a certain temp with particular detergent so as not to loose the natural benefits. I purchased some silk dupion (raw silk) and tried them but it didn't last because I wanted to chuck everything in the washing machine.

...Fuzzi Bunz are they worth buying as I may get one of those at the same time?
I found FB to not be a great fit on DS but that was one of the few pockets available back when we stocked up. I would go for Green Kids or Sandra's STuffables over FB these days. Green KIds are trimmer but I'm a snaps fan so love Sandra's Stuffables!
