I'm just going to move this thread to the 'help with our good deeds' part of the forum.

It's horrible watching the wildlife who can't escape the flood waters and seeing all the family pets that have been left behind. :(

I'm glad someone found the link as I love animals and have already donated to the human side, I know there will be a lot of animals without a home for a while, they like humans will need help. :(

Thank you very much rarygirl , I wasn't sure where to put it so chose somewhere I knew gets alot of traffic .

Jb - that's awesome your work are doing that.

I really shouldn't have gone googling as now I am here tormenting myself and obsessing over things I've read in relation to animals :-( I was better to stay away from actual stories like I normally do and not know in detail but I had to do it didn't I knowing how terribly sensitive I am to anything animal related . I'm so sad :-(

So many people don't forget the animals , but so many do unfortunately , and not through not caring but they just don't realise there are also organizations out there that are desperatley in need of our money to help these precious animals due to them not being government funded . They rely solely on us . I hope this link encourages people to donate , no matter how small. I have just cleaned out my savings and donated , makes me feel slightly less helpless .

Also, if any locals can assist in fostering some displaced animals temporarily, that would be a great help. Many of the shelters have been evacuated, and theres many pets that are being dropped off or rescued whilst the owners have been displaced.

I have organised a fundraiser at work to donate to the RSPCA in QLD. We have already going for humans this week, so we are doing the animals next week.

One of our employees is driving a truck up to QLD next week and she has said she will take as much supplies as she can. so everyone at work is giving stuff to take, they did a list of most needed stuff like toiletry items, non perishable stuff, pet food etc etc.

I have pack up two of the Woolworths cool bags. One has tinned food, cat biscuits, tinned dog food, the other bag has ladies sanitary products, soap, toothpaste and tooth brushes, some baby wipes, razors and deodorant.

that's sooo good !! Your so nice to be doing that , you'll have to let me know how it goes !! Xo
