Ok so who’s suffering from carpal Tunnel I’m 38 wks and its getting worse by the day at first it was just at night and I was able to sleep now it gets so painful at night in my hands and fingers I cannot even sleep. It feels like my hands are burning, stinging, throbbing and tingling all at once and now it never goes away I have no relief at all

Doctor just looks at me when I tell her how bad it is and says Oh I no it will go away after the birth.:banghead: last night I strapped by wrists up ( got that idea from a internet site) but didn’t help: crying: Does anyone else have is annoying problem??? Any suggestions to help it go away

I had that too and it was so incredibly painful, especially trying to open my hands in the morning.

I tried heat packs which seemed to help a little but other than that, I too had to wait until bubba was born and I can't recall it being an issue after a couple of days post-birth.

:hugs: to you though - those last few weeks of pregnancy aren't always the ones when we are 'glowing'

I can TOTALLY sympathies (sp?) with you. I developed that at about 34 weeks and still have it now....
I had 2 lots of accupuncture and boy did that make a huge difference.

I now have pins & needles in my right hand continuously, but don't have the agony that you still have. I am able to sleep and not wake up crying in pain. I also take 2 panadol before bed.....don't know if that helps or is psychological, but who cares if it brings some relief!!
I was also told that wearing socks over your hands can help - it is like bandages, but less restrictive. I too thought this did nothing.

I hope yours settles down soon but I would recommend accupuncture if you can?

Hi, I have pains in my fingers still since my bub was born over 4 months ago. My GP tested for inflammation and rheumatism but the tests came back negative! Can't be pain for no reason. If I sleep with my fists closed, my fingers ache when I try and open them. I have to raise my arms above my head which makes the blood rush away from them so I can open or close my fists!! My joins are a bit tender too. It isn't as bad as during the winter months. I experienced it a little a few weeks before bub was born.

I hope your hands get better and all the best for the birth of your baby. Maybe acupunture is something we should try!! Sounds like an option.

I too had carpal tunnel when pregnant. My doctor suggested I wear a splint 24/7, you can buy them from the chemist. Even thou it was annoying it certainly helped with the pain.
