with less than 2 months to go...my dh and i are starting to realise we are running out of time to think of names!!
We have been blessed with fraternal twins - one boy and one girl! And we've been racking our brains (and reading every single site on the internet)...trying to find names we like for our twins....
We just want a boy and girl name that is timeless, with nice meaning and would love it if they could be slightly related in some way (ie same meaning, anagrams, same beginning etc)
Does anyone have any good ideas?? anything that can get my creative juice running?? (i'm so baby brained right now...)

Michael and Michaela (sp??) - apparently this is a great combo according to my 5yo DS1 - he's insisted we put them on our lists!
Anthony and Antonia
Oscar and Olivia
Oliver and Olivia
Evan and Evangaline
Simon and Simone
Sorry, I never really get into the meanings of names so am only going with 'similar' name options.

Aidan and Nadia spell eachother backwards :) it's possibly TOO matchy but thought I'd mention it as u were thinking of names that related in some way. Is perhaps giving them both a unisex middle name an option or like Samantha/Samuel? That way it isn't so obvious for when the twins grow up and might want their 'own' identities?
Sorry I'm not a multiple mum so not sure if I'm making sense :) hope u find names that u both love!

Haha, I thought so too. I saw it years ago on a baby name website and never forgot them !
My advice is go with 2 names that sound good when you say them together as you'll be doing that a lot. Also, allow for how they'll sound when nick-named, and make sure they dont come down to the same nick-name or it will be very confusing at kinder and school, not to mention out in public.
A friend of mine is one of 3 and her mother called each of her child a name that meant the same thing, but with different origins (ie: Hebrew, Greek). The names themselves sound nothing alike but they all have the same meaning, which is quite cute.
You could also go for trends, such as very old fashioned names (William or Edward and Elizabeth or Sarah), names from the same culture (Irish, Scottish, French) or the names of famous couples in history (ie: Nicholas & Alexandra).
Our twins both have Irish names (DH is Irish).

I researched our family on both sides and came up with names from there ended up with names that were on both sides so meant something to both familes and then both picked a name each we liked and then also used a sisters middle name too ..it took ages and we only changed our mind once and that was changing it from a first name to a middle name
Its hard coming up with twin names cause its 4 names in total not two ...it fustrated us for us
