Please Help!
I have tried so many times in getting my son to drink from a bottle with no joy! Ive tried formula & breast milk in the bottle with no luck. Any suggestions as I am unable to go anywhere without him.
How do I wean him of the breast in this case?

Both my kids went straight from boob to cup (sippy cup). My daughter refused the bottle no matter what we tried, so she just went straight onto a cup, I didn't even bother to try with my son.
There are different types of cups, some of them have a regulator in them to keep the flow slow ( ) others are regulated by the number and size of the holes. GOOD LUCK :fingerscrossed:

when i first was weaning my son to the bottle he wasn't interested for at least two weeks. but slowly he was starting to warm to the idea and it all turned out well. just keep trying and try not to let it stress you out too much:fingerscrossed: it all works out soon  good luck

Dear Tomasina,
At 8 months of age, it is a good time to introduce your son to cup drinking. Trying to transfer him to bottle feeding at this stage is an unnecessary step developmentally. See my reply in the Cup Drinking section to ‘Confused’.
To increase your son’s interest in cup drinking, you can try drinking water or milk in front of him in a small cup (so that it looks like a really fun thing to do!) and wait for him to reach for the cup. Then offer him a small cup with water, formula or breast milk in it. It is always more productive if your baby or toddler is choosing or wanting to participate in the feeding or drinking process.
Give your little guy lots of praise for trying a cup, or even letting you hold it up to his mouth. Try playing with cups and dolls or teddies and take turns pretending to give everyone drinks.
When your bub is open to the idea of cup drinking, start to reduce your breastfeeds (as you were planning) and offer drinks in the cup instead.
