Hey everyone!!
I hope someone can give me some peace in mind. Im 23yr old and pregnant with number 2. I had a perfectly healthy pregnancy with my son and am generally a health person. My Aunty was diagnosed with diabetes type 1 when she was 11yr old (so i have diabetes in my family)
Last night all of a sudden i felt really ill.... i felt like i was going to big sick but couldnt and that i wasnt in my body but floating around, basicly felt like i was high or something. I felt like i had a temp as i was sweating etc but i actually had a temp of 35.1"c which is very low for me. I had plenty of water went to bed and woke up feel great. Then today at about 3pm I started shaking sweating like anything i checked my temp and it was 35.4'c i felt simular to the night before but worse, My step father suffers borderline type 2 diabetes so he has the sugar levels tester etc. I tested my sugar levels and it was 3.7 ( i had eaten toast for breakfast, 3 tuna sushi for lunch and had plenty of water through the day 2x coke cans and a glass of apple cider during the day).
My mum sugested i eat some lollies so i ate about 5 snake lollies and then 5mins later tested my sugar levels which was 4.7 I started feeling better and went out for dinner as arranged had steak chips and salad mum suggested having few lemonades so i did. I still felt a little wierd from before so had 2 lollies on the way home. When i got home 15mins later my sugar level was 7.4 ........... I feel better now 1hr later but i still fell like i am going to throw up, i just dont feel 100%
Should I be concerned?? I have the gestational diabetes test in 2wks at the hospital should i ring to have the test earlier. or should i be more concerned and give a call to the hospital now? ( I dont want to sound over paranoid to them)
Or is this nothing to be concerned about at all???
Please help if you know any info etc?

If you're worried you should call your dr.. But they're usually more worried about high sugar levels not low ones.. (I have T1 & a successful pregnancy so have some 1st hand knowledge) until you can get to see someone you could try eating small regular meals and snack with low GI foods.. Bananas are great if you like them! FX Everythings ok - but talk to your care provider just to make sure!! HTH!

I went to the doctors this afternoon, he isnt worried at all. I have my glucose test with the midwifes in 2wks and he said to just wait for that test. He said that if I had gestational diabetes my sugar levels would be high and not low. As i generally eat salad, fruit, meat and veg and mainly drink water, he thinks that I am most likely not eating enough "naughty food" that from eatings just fruit veg salad etc im not getting my sugar kicks that the baby needs. So until the test in two weeks he has suggested that start occasionly eating things with sugar like having a juice and a lolly every now and then and to keep some lollies on me to have one when i feel ill. He said then i can have the test in two weeks and if everything comes out fine to just continue the keeping a little bit of sugar in my diet during the pregnancy. Lucky me ... I hate lollys and sugary things but given that the doctor said i either do this or have glucose injections... give me the lolly!!!!
