My ds4 was born at 25 weeks on the 14th of jan 2010...he weighed 920g and had quite a fight on his hands to be here.
He spent 15 weeks in hospital before we could finally bring him home to be part of our family.
Coming up to his first birthday triggers a lot of emotions and memories.
I just wanted to share my little miracles journey through the NICU until that wonderful day we could walk out the hospital with him.
The first photo of me I am in tears...tears of joy it was a long 3 weeks waiting for that first cuddle.

Aww brought back memories of my girls born at 30wks Taylah was only 910gms(3.15kgs now) and Bridget 1.34kgs (4.5kgs)...i'm curious on how big max is now??
What an amazing video! I couldn't stop the tears flowing watching it! Congratulations on your miracle baby! What a journey you have been on.
My twins were born at 25+6 weeks in June this year, (780g now 5.6kg and 852g now 5.1kg) and the memories are still very fresh!
Thank you for sharing that video!
(I have a similar photo of first cuddles with one of my babies, I was crying the whole time, and my husband had to sit there with tissues mopping my eyes through the whole cuddle, as I kept "raining" on my baby!!)

He has had some major weight issues and only 5.05kg at almost 12 months.
He is failure to thrive and on extra Calorie formula and powder and still doesn't really gain.
But he is a happy little boy and always has a huge smile for you which is the important thing :D
Did you girls have TTTS? Sounds like they are doing well.

It is a long journey isn't it...very hard at times. My 2 yr old was born at 28+1 only 13 months before so we had been through it all before (but she had a much easier time)
They are good sizes now, I hope they are both doing well.

Happy Birthday Max
5kgs that is some weight issues but what a awesome little fighter
No my girls didnt have TTTS thou they were worried about that happening and had scans every week to monitor ..Taylah had discordant growth and just wasnt growing at the right rate she was about the size of at 26wker and Bridget was growing normal 30wker (hence why not TTTS) but they are getting there bit of a rough start being born at 30wks but nothing i can really complain about

I hope your DD is doing well
Maxx is doing really well...other than his weight issues he is well.
I had him weighed today and he is now 5.8kg at nearly 13mths (9.5 corrected)
:hugs: TrulyBlessed. I am extremely proud...especially considering the extremely hard time he had through the NICU.
