Thanks Summa!! How are you feeling?

Feeling alright. Been so tired and can't seem to get enough sleep! Sore boobs is also another big symptom for me right now. Little bit nauseous if I am hungry.

How about you?

Going to book in to see my doctor for a scan in another few weeks. Want to try hold off til about 8 weeks if I can!

So what's everyones EDDs at this stage? I know they will probably change! I did a calculator and cane up with 31 August.

Congratulations, ladies! :highfive: Just so you're aware, there's already a thread going for IVF babies due July/August/September here:

IVF Bubs due July/Aug/Sept 2011 (http://www.bubhub.com.au/community/forums/showthread.php?t=372516&page=25)

The current informal method is to have the due-in threads in 3-month blocs. I see Pippi has already made her introduction there, and I'm sure they're looking forward to having you all join them & add yourself to the roll call! :)

Pippi, to move this thread to the Pregnancy through IVF section, just PM a mod -- you'll find the ones who are online at the bottom of the main forum page, or here (http://www.bubhub.com.au/community/forums/showgroups.php). Scroll down to Super Moderators.

Summa - I have been feeling really tired today. In fact exhausted!! We were supposed to go to a BBQ but I couldn't go and I was tired and felt off. I have had some feeling of nausea but nothing has eventuated. Week 5 is when things start to form, so I am expecting it to be a tiring week! My nipples are really sensitive and my (.)(.) have already grown!!

From what I have worked out I am due on September the 3rd. The day after my brothers b day and on the day of my cousins b day. Perfect timing hey! :) I think my brother is excited that bubs maybe due on his bday.

Welcome toshe!! Good to hear that you are feeling better!

Kim - I have poked my head in that thread and will continue to. I also thought it would be nice to keep close contact with the December graduates. Thank you for your kind thoughts :) Are you in that thread?

Pippi-that's cute that your brother is excited that bubs may be born on his birthday!!

My boobs are extremely sore and nipples super sensative, plus I think they have definitely grown! I felt nauseous on and off today even after I ate (cos so far it's only been when I am hungry) so I think the real ms isn't far away! The tiredness is kicking my butt! So glad I am on holidays at the moment. I go back to work on the 11th..not sure how I will survive without my naps!

Toshe-Welcome!! I hope you will be sticking around with us too!

Hi girls  just popping in to jump on the December graduate train!

I keep needing to get up and pee around 2-3am and then can't get back to sleep for ages afterwards - urgh. Thus the 2am post .

Symptom wise I'm super tired (need a sleep most afternoons), (.)(.) are killing me, headaches, nausea and :barf:. Was really worried on Saturday because I didn't feel nauseas at all - so of course started thinking the worst even though I still had all the other symptoms. Then it came back with a vengeance yesterday so I felt happy and reassured again  how crazy does that sound.

It still amazes me how many :bfp: December brought about. Not sure if any if you other ladies have looked back through previous threads but we've certainly created a comparatively long list of graduates!

Hope everyone has a lovely day, so sad that it's the last public holiday though....back to work tomorrow :gloomy:

I wrote something similar in our Dec thread.. but I am not able to grasp that I am really am pregnant and am quite worried about it. I guess it's firstly because I am not able to conceive without donor eggs and secondly finally when I have some HCG its at 28 for first BT, 198 for second (5 days later) and 559 for third (two days later). A kind of a slow battle to get the right results.

Additionally I have no symptoms that aren't any different than normal period type ones.

So other than waiting for my scan in 2 and a half weeks how can I be sure that things haven't stopped happening? If it stops does it 'abort'? I am on progynova and crinone too which usually stops my period so if something happens I might not bleed either?

This does sound rather paranoid I guess reading back on it but I don't feel anything!... can you guys shed any light on this?

Danni - my boobs were sore last week and now they are not. I am starting to worry too. My nipples are sensitive though and I am rather tired all the time. But I have read that every pregnancy is unqiue. You may be the lucky one without the symptoms..... I wouldn't worry too much. Two people have told me that week six is when ms kicks in. We will have to wait and see!

Do u feel different? I don't feel the same. Not in a bad way though.

03-01-2011, 11:07
Don't worry Danni, I'm sure everything is OK. I don't feel anything now and I didn't last time either. I didn't have morning sickness until week 17 and it only lasted till week 27 and even then it was nothing major. Some women don't even get it at all.

So yeah I feel fine so far and I'll be 7 weeks on Friday so I'm hoping for a repeat of last time!

I am praying like mad that I hear a heartbeat and not see an ectopic or blighted ovum on Friday :fingerscrossed:

Danni-:hugs:I think all you can do for now is try to relax and enjoy being pregnant. Worrying is only going to stress you out. I know I am still peeing on sticks to comfort myself that I am still pregnant! Hopefully the next few weeks until your scan goes super quick so you can breathe a little.

Pippi-I feel different but it's hard to describe how!

Pumper-Wow! You were very lucky not to get ms until later and for it not to be too bad! I would love for that to happen to me, but women in my family seem to get quite severe morning sickness.

AFM..Think I will have to go and buy some new bras soon. I feel like I am overflowing!! My nausea is more consistent now soon so I think ms is kicking in for real.

oh yeah some women get it really bad. My sister was hospitalised with it and had to take those biscuits that are normally only given to cancer patients for chemo side effects.

I think what helped me was that I was just so so happy to be pregnant that it didn't bother me at all. I would be sitting there and all of a sudden go "uh oh I need to chuck" go to the bathroom, chuck and then that was that! Too easy. I know I was lucky though so hopefully history repeats.

Do you think the sex of the baby makes a difference to your symptoms?

Yeah my cousin had to have those too! She had twins-a boy and a girl.

The other women in my family seemed to get worse ms when pregnant with girls. When they had boys they were nowhere near as sick...so perhaps if my ms is mild we may be having a boy?! :babyboy:

I think because we have waited so long for this baby I won't care how sick I get! Although it will make going to work hard!

That's amazing - I thought women didn't get the big boobs till later! Mine are a little sore around the armpit gland area and the sides but that's about it. Certainly no MS yet! I don't even feel different yet!

Summa - the feeling is hard to describe. We were at the shops today and my DH was looking for a t shirt to buy. I am normally pretty good and have patience but today I was very restless. My lower back was sore and I was a little grumpy. I just wanted to go home as I have no energy! When we were driving home my DH said you do look a little pasty. Thanks Hun!! Enjoy your last week off! I have another four weeks off! The joys of being a teacher. :o

Danni - my boobs were sore in the same area as yours and I am not complaining of the size! As I have small boobs!! :(

Does anyone know of cheap online or maternity shops? My waistline is changing already and my jeans don't feel as comfortable. I read that everything is stretching so there is more room for my uterus to grow so the waistline may get bigger early on. I have no hips so I just poke out!
Jeanswest now sell maternity jeans for $65 which I thought was a pretty good price. If the heart beat scan goes well I may invest in some pants. Maternity clothes are so expensive!

I can't believe you're changing shape already! This is devastating me as I am getting married 10 April and I have very little room to move size wise in my wedding dress in the ribs/bust region! DP says I shouldn't get big till later but from what you say!......?
Anyone heard what breast feeding is like if you have implants? I have them... given the glands are on top of the implants I don't anticipate any problems.

Hey Dani, Im not here officially yet but thought Id be a sticky beak....but just needed to reply to you....I was 10wks preg with DD when I got married (yes it was planned). I am only 5ft so very short and my boobs went from a b cup to a d cup in the 10 wks....I had a strapless dress and I was so upset on the day as my boobs were spilling out of it.......Most people didnt notice and my DH loved it but I was extremely upset. As far as the rest of the dress my waist had started thickening but not to any noticable degree so I was still able to fit into my size 10 dress but I did have a dress that tied up in the back so although it was incredabliy thight I was able to loosen it a bit after the photo's....

Ohhh the other good news is I had 'bad' MS for two weeks.....from week 9-11....right over my wedding and honeymoon....DH Im sure enjoyed me leaving the reception and going to the toilet to vomit about 20 times!!!! I started feeling 'hungover' with MS about the 7wk mark....and one morning at the start of my 13wk I woke up and felt normal again...

I probally couldnt hide my preg by the time I was 14weeks...but as I said I was a shorty and there was no where else for bubs to hide but to pop out!

Pippi, pumpkin patch online sometimes has maternity clothes on sale...I got the best pair of cargo pants from there last time and lived in them (I actually wore holes in them I wore them so much). Other than that Big W and Target usually have an OK range but nothing dressy. Not sure about online but ebay has a pretty big selection.....

Well Im going to go back to staring at my hpt for now...hope to see you here in a week!

I got married when I was 20 weeks pregnant. Had been engaged for years and never thought it was important for us to be married before we had a child but then OMG IVF worked and all of a sudden it became important  I didn't think I was showing much but when I see the photos it was pretty obvious! Though my dress was fitted at the top and then it flowed so I didn't need any alterations, it just would have been much looser if there was no bubba on board.

Can you have a dressmaker lined up just in case you need to change something but I wouldn't worry until you start to see how your body does change.

My sister, at 20 weeks, was hardly showing even though she's quite slim so we're all very different.

Pippi01
03-01-2011, 16:35
Danni -how tight is your dress? It is highly likely that your waistline will change a little! :( It may not be much but wedding dresses are generally fitted. Don't panic too much. Maybe take to an alterations person who maybe able to alter it at the last minute? Just eat extremely healthy over the next four months and hopefully you won't get chocolate cravings!!

Jacklicky - :celebrate: congrats on positive HPT. We look forward to having you here in a weeks time!! And thanks for the clothes advice. I don't mind wearing tight tops but I want to be comfortable wearing pants.

pumpernickel
03-01-2011, 16:42
So glad I won't have to worry about pants. I should be able to get away with dresses throughout. It's about 30degrees all year round up here so I'm always just in maxi dresses with heaps of tummy room.

Dunno what I'm gonna do about work clothes, maybe some larger tops and then those belly bands under skirts. I'll worry about it later

Hi Ladies

Thought it time I come over. I am currently waiting for my official blood test to be rung through. Was stressing about my high first level but was assured by one of the nurses today that it doesn't necessarily mean twins but just that it is a good no. I think I am a good week or more behind most here so just starting to feel the first signs. Have had cramping and a tightening feeling in my belly and sides for a few days and boobs just starting to feel achy in the mornings. More joy to come I'm sure!!:D

I can't believe that some of your shapes are changing already!!!

I will put myself on the roll call when I am on a non mac comp.

Cheers

Hi ladies!

Just adding my scan date! All booked in for the 20th and I will be 8w1d. Waited a bit longer as DH will be home and he really wants to be there!

Went out today and bought 2 maternity bras from K-Mart. $12 each and so comfortable! Still in my same cup size but I think mat bras have a bit more room. Nice to not feel like I am spilling over!!

Anyone having any cravings or food aversions? All I want is savoury and I am usually very much a sweet tooth. I have turned down chocolate today which is so strange as I am a chocoholic! Will be interested to see how my tastes change as the pregnancy continues.

Danni-I am sure you can work something out with your dress! Dress makers/alterers are very clever!

It's nice to see this thread filling up with more familiar faces! December was a good month for graduates!

Katieee
04-01-2011, 18:02
Summa, I've been having the same as far savoury cravings go. Normally i could drown myself in a sea of chocolate, but not now . Pretzels and water are about all I can keep down until late afternoon, and then I can manage a tiny amount of cheese covered carbs with a zooper dooper or two without :barf:

It's amazing how quickly (.)(.) get bigger! I was very glad to have a few larger cup bra's that I bought online mid last year that were too big - but I didn't get around to returning them :o - for once my laziness/forgetfulness paid off haha.

Hi ladies, here is my post from our december ivf thread to save me typing it again:

woah longest day ever when waiting for results!

My numbers are doubling as they should :cheerleader1: Today's result was 4600, doubling time 65 hours. Still on the lower end of the scale but nevertheless it is progressing like a normal pregnancy! The nurse said it would be slower progress if it was ectopic so she isn't worried about that now.

I have a scan on Friday but she said so long as they find 'something' in the uterus it will be good as it may be a little early for a heartbeat to be heard (even though I'll be 7 weeks??) and not to worry if that happens, I should just go back in another week to check again.

I can relax a bit now :smiliedance:

What an unbelievable rollercoaster this cycle has been :heywhat: The nurse even said that it was a good call to continue the support. :heywhat::heywhat:

No more BT's!

Hello ladies!

How is everyone feeling?

I have reached 6 weeks today!! 2 weeks and 1 day until our first scan..can't wait!

Tiredness is almost constant now and boobs are so sore! Think I will have to sleep in one of my new mat bras as I've been so uncomfortable. Still no major ms..waiting for it though! Totally gone off sweet foods now.

Hope you are all traveling well!

Hi Everyone,

I'm still finding it hard to believe I'm actually pregnant, but it's do early at only 5 weeks today. I've just had my 2nd BT so I hope my HCG keeps rising & progesterone is where it should be so I can shop feeling quite so anxious. It felt a bit like FN wS preparing me for the worst, but I know I'm a bit paranoid & she was just doing her job. My FS is going on holidays so I won't have a viability scan until about the 23rd & I'm not sure how I'll go. I really just want to hear a heartbeat as I've never made it that far. Can anyone give ms some tips in how to relax?

toshe - keep busy!! That is the only way I can take my mind of the pregnancy! I am on holidays until the 1st of Feb and it is killing meee...... Can't stop thinking about being pregnant!!

Summa - When I went to accupuncture on Tuesday she treated me for my nausea as it was starting to get worse. I seem to get it either in the afternnon or at night time. Bizarre!! It is easing up! But I have shocking headaches!!:hissy:
So I get the nausea under control now the headaches!! I woke up this monring and my (.)(.) have grown even more! I love them.... They seem to be tender while I am sleeping and sometimes during the day..... I called the nurse to confirm my EDD and it is the 5th of September.

I have cravings for oranges and sparkling mineral water!! I am normally a choco-holic but it doesn't appeal to me.

Also my tummy is changing!! :)

Is anyone going private? I managed to book in with an ob who is very popular in my area. :yelclap: He has good bedside manner and is very understanding! I live along the mornington peninsula (Vic) and there are not a lot of private hospitals. So I have to book in really early.

Katiee - how are you feeling? I think you are the worst with ms! Poor thing!! :( Many :hugs:to you and everyone else.

Busy day girls! My first day back at work, lucky I only do 2 days a week and I've managed to make it only 1 day next week :cheerleader1:

I'm actually going to go public this time. I was a private patient last time and all sorts of things went wrong, the obstetrician despite seeing me every few days failed to pick up pre-eclampsia and also failed to pick up my baby in distress which led to an emergency caesarean and her being in ICU for 4 days. It was an absolute nightmare.

We are now in a different area that only has one private and one public hospital. The private hospital doesn't have a neonatal ICU and I want to have one of those just in case there is any repeat of last time. I also believe the midwives will be more on top of things like testing my urine for protein which unbelievably my ob never did!! Being my first pregnancy, I didn't know all that stuff was that important.

I should add that I know not all obs are as neglectful as the one I had (who came highly recommended btw) but the whole experience has really affected me and I can't get past it to try another one just in case.

Pumper, Pippi we went public when I had DD and had wonderful care. I did shared care with the hospital and my GP and it worked perfectly for us. When i did go to the hospital checks I got the same midwife/doctor each time but I know there is a 'pool' of resources for each area.

When i went in to deliver i dont believe I had ever met any of the doctors or midwives caring for me before but they were all wonderful. I was there for a few shift changes and aside from the woman I spoke to on the phone trying to work out if I should come in or not who was just dismissive of everything I told her, i didnt have any bad experiences going public.

The only thing I worry about is that the hospital I went to has now got a 'local' area catchment and you cant go there if you dont fall within that catchment area so I have to try and find out if we fall into that....cause i refuse to go to the closest hospital as i have heard too many horror stories...

If I cant get in to that hospital I will consider going private as I can still go to the hospital I want but just as a private patient....My DH hates the thought of paying for anything when we can get it free through the public system but if I dont have a choice Id rather pay the money and be where I want to be. I will be 39 when I give birth so want to be in a place that I know myself and bubs will get te best care should anything go wrong.

Ohh and I am still getting the 2nd line and my boobs are pretty heavy..... I also have massive lower back pain but I have no idea if this is from the BFP or just a crap mattress....

Only four more sleeps until I can 'officially' join here!

Personally, I am quite confused how they calculate stuff. Both nurses calculated I was due 01/02 Sep. I am apparently 6 weeks pregnant but I didn't have FET (4 day embryo) till 13 Dec.... strange

My HB scan is now two weeks yesterday! yay.... i have been very paranoid about actually being pregnant so I rang the nurse yesterday and I am booked in for BT Fri morning even though I proabably don't really need it. In actually fact since talking to her yesterday my boobs have continued to hurt (lil bit tender - not really bad) and I am a little queasy today... so maybe it's all good! (my worries came about because of the slowness to get a decent HCG level but from the second to third BT the doubling time was 32 hrs)

Hahaha, Dannis - I am in the same boat as you too. Wonder how they do their calculation. I was confused as to the weeks I am pregnant. I thought I was 6 Week but clinic only said I was 5 weeks. Thanks to all the lovely ladies here in bubhub that clear things for me. I now convinced myself that I am 5 weeks 2 days pregnant. (Less 1 week that I initially thought I was)
Lotsa :babydust1: for you for your HCG level.

Pumper - Oh dear, how can the OB miss such big thing. I hope this kinda thing does not even happen again. Stay positive for a smooth pregnancy and labour this time round

Jacklicky - 4 more sleeps won't be too far away. :smiliedance:

Toshe, Summa, Pippi - Hope pregnancy is treating you all well. Sore boobs is unpreventable :p but let's hope bubba is growing healthy.

Katiee - Hope everything is smooth there for you. Good luck for HB scan on the 19th :babydust1:

AFM, FN rang for my blood results and all is fine and well. :smiliedance: Don't have much MS except sore boobs. Hope this stays like this :p and lil one continue to grow well. Next blood test 13.12.10 and then HB scan the week after. Can't wait for that special moment.

Updating myself on our roll call...

How come I'm first on the lists? Is there really nobody before me? *scared*

If I have another caesar I'll definitely be first but oh yeah the other big reason for me wanting to go public is I want to try for a VBAC and I've got between buckleys and no chance of having one of those privately :freakingout: Apparently our local public hospital is really supportive of them :hyper:

highhopes - yeah the other thread is huge and a little daunting though all the ladies seem very lovely. Some are almost 2 months ahead of us which seems like a lifetime, we are all just beginners :)

jacklicky, No drinking on your 40th if you're breastfeeding but hey it's all worth it  or else you can if you're desperate, just express and toss the next batch lol

Thanks for the well wishes for tomorrow, it's booked for 9am so hopefully I'll have some news not long afterward. I'm seeing the GP late in the afternoon as we need to plan the next phase I guess.

I am quite ok if anyone wants to skip the queue and go before me!!

Goodluck Pumper, cant believe you get your scan before I even get my BT!

Dani, by the time we found out about IVF I never believed i would be under 40 so I just scrapped in but I know as a older mum I seemed to have alot more patients than my sisters who were younger when they had their first bubs.....I like to think it was my maturity :p

Pippi01, i dont actually drink....boring I know.....but yeah I hope to be bfing so I will probally just have a quiet 40th with family. If this is really happens for me I think it will be the best 40th birthday present ever!

Im only going to be 4wks tomorrow....and Im going to be the last of our group :fingerscrossed: by a long shot. Toshe is on the 8/9 Ill be the 17/9 at the earliest I think! so you will all be busy with bubs and ill be :freakingout: here alone

Highhopes, my sept 08 birth group made a 'secret' facebook group and we ended up with about 40 mums....there are still 30 of us that talk nearly daily and we even had a meetup on the Gold Coast just after their 1st birthdays that about 30 of us all went to....So even though we were a large group it was so amazing to share the journey with so many different women.....

I agree its lovely to be in such a small group but dont not join in the bigger one....I think you will find both will help you at different stages of this amazing journey.

OK enough from me...Im talking alot considering Im not even officially part of the group yet :laughing::laughing:

Jacklicky - you maybe the last on the list but anything can happen! You may beat us and have bubs a couple of weeks early! Although I don't wish that upon you!! :)

I was watching ABC news last night and the scientists in SA (I think) and Denmark have made a break through with IVF. Did anyone else hear about this? As of 2012 embryos will be cultured in the Petri dish with the uterus fluid as it is a natural body fluid which signals or supports the embryo on what it needs to do. The embryo won't feel foregin and this will increase the success rate of IVF transfers by 40%. When a woman concieves naturally the embryo floats in this fluid which helps the conception process.

That is really good to hear!! :smiliedance:

Can't wait to hear your good news pumper!! :D

Hi ya ladies
Just finally popping in to say hello.
Things are getting so exciting and it is still very amazing.
This thread is an awesome idea. I love following you girls your stories are so supportive.
I had my viability scan on Tuesday and I got to hear and see a strong heart beat. My EDD is now the 27th of August. I am 7 weeks 1 day today.
I really wish I could relax a bit more I can't shake the constant worry and fear of loosing the baby. I hope that I'll become more relaxed as I go along.
I haven't suffered from ms I have just had sore (.)(.) and nipples.
I have my next scan at 11 weeks when I visit the antenatal clinic. Can't wait to see the bubba again.
Keep growing strong and steady all our little bubbas.
Hope everyone has a grrreat day!

Pippi - I saw that on the news also. This is a breakthrough for IVF. I've booked my confirmation scan. Unfortunatley my FS is on holidays for 2 weeks so I can't get in until the 1 Feb - I'll be 8 weeks 4 days and I don't know if I can wait this long :( DH said I should have asked to see someone else but they didn't offer & I don't want to seem pushy.

Pippi01
07-01-2011, 10:52
Toshe - I know how u feel! I was supposed to have mine next week and my FS is on holidays. So mine is on the 17th. Fortunately I will be 7 weeks then, so the heart beat will be stronger. Hopefully!!

If u can wait until then and have no signs of miscarriage (which you won't!) :) your scan should be a wonderful experience as bubs would be developing it's body functions and limbs. Maybe see it that way?? It will still look like an alien but it doesn't matter. :)

Renoir how excitement!!

I am back from my scan and after our very rocky start I am pleased to say that there is indeed a baby and it's in my uterus where it should be and it has a strong heartbeat. The tech said bubba is measuring a few days behind but wasn't the least bit concerned as you can be a couple of weeks out apparently.

So all is well. Amazing! :smiliedance:

Hi ladies.

Sorry I've been a little MIA. Just been super tired.

Toshe-I feel like my scan is forever away as well. Just need to keep ourselves occupied until then!

Pippi-Glad acupuncture is working for your morning sickness! Might have to give it a try if mine gets bad. I will be going private. The FS I was seeing is also an ob so I think I will stick with him. The hospital and his office is less than 5 minutes from home which is handy!
It's amazing the breakthroughs they are making with IVF!!!

Pumper-How exciting getting to see your little one up on screen and hear a heart beat!! :cheerleader2: Must have been a great feeling! Does it feel more real now??

Jacklicky-Glad to hear your 2nd line is still coming up!

Danni-Hooray for symptoms! It makes me feel better when I am experiencing some form of pregnancy symptom.

Highhopes-Hope the levels continue to rise on your next blood test and time passes quickly until your 1st scan! I am looking forward to mine!

Renoir-I am glad to hear everything is going well so far with your pregnancy.

AFM-feeling very emotional! I go from happy to sad to angry in minutes..poor DH! No real ms yet but my boobs are so sore! I have slept in my mat bra the past few nights to make myself more comfortable. Have been told about the mat sleep bras so think I will be investing in one of those very soon. Just under 2 weeks until my scan!

They are more like a crop top so all soft which is nicer to sleep in than a normal mat bra with the clips and straps etc. I have been sleeping in my mat bras, and although its better than no bra at all, it still isn't extremely comfortable. I haven't figured out where to buy one yet though!

Hi girls  just popping in really quickly on phone.

Renoir & Pumper - great news re your scans. Glad to hear that bubs are going well :D

Summa & Pippi - as far as sore bb's and sleeping I'd highly recommend Ambra bra/crop tops. They're not maternity bra's, but are ultra comfy, seamfree, wirefree and very supportive (for sleeping) but allow plenty if stretch to grow. I bought mine from Myer and they're well under $20 from memory. Just a warning though, they look teeny tiny on the hanger but stretch HEAPS.

Hope everyone else is traveling along well.

I've been MIA for a bit because MS has hit me pretty badly and left me feeling exhausted for most of the day. The stupid cold I picked up over Xmas has almost buggered off and I'm looking forward to swimming again which is supposed to help with MS. Just hope I can manage to find some energy to actually do it

I had another BT today just to make sure everthing is going OK. It has risen up to 9443! I am still on a doubling time of 42 hrs or something. That's awesome. Now I am able to relax and accept for the first time since I've been told. I've been feeling like a fraud when I tell people I'm pregnant. Like I am just playing at being pregnant. :hyper: to Pumper and Renoir on bubba heartbeat !! What an awesome time. I bet most of us here is looking forward to hear our lil bub's heartbeat too. :fingerscrossed: for smooth pregnancy until full term.

Toshe - Oh, you poor dear. The wait in every stage is already killing and you gotta wait some more. I suppose like Pippi said, maybe heartbeat will be stronger  The time will fly pass quickly.

Jacklicky - Yes... no drinking if you are breastfeeding. :p Hehehe, I know it's hard.. just think that you can have all the drinks after bubba is done with breast feeding :)

Katie - :hugs: for MS. It's not a pleasant feeling but it's all worth it. Hope it will ease off soon for your. :fingerscrossed:

Dannis - Hahha I hear you. I felt the same too when I told a couple of close girl friends that I am pregnant. It didn't feel like I was.. soo weird. It seems like only ladies with bub belly is pregnant and not us yet. :smiliedance: for fantastic results on BT.

Summa - I am also counting down the days to our bub HB scan. Seems forever. Blame the hormones for change of mood easily :p

Pippi - My boobs are also sore during the nights - especially when turning around in bed. :fingerscrossed: for bubba to grow well.

AFM, nothing much of concern. Just counting the days to my next BT on Thursday and then HB scan the week after. I can't wait for all of us to pass the 1st Trimester... Would be soo exciting. Lotsa :babydust1: for smooth pregnancy ahead. Grow well lil bubbas.... Made us proud mommies.

Me again

I saw my GP this afternoon. He won't refer me to the public hospital until I'm 20 weeks at least, does that sound right? He kept saying I was high risk and I needed a doctor who deals with IVF pregnancies. I said but I should just be a normal pregnancy now and he said 'yes, theoretically' and was concerned about just being seen by a registrar publicly who will only refer me on if he can't deal with it. I don't want to go privately  Other than the conception issue why are we treated differently? :(

jacklicky
07-01-2011, 21:38
Congrats Pumper....so glad you got to see the heartbeat. I dont know why he wouldnt refer you to the hospital. I got a referal last time from the GP as soon as I went in....Id maybe just go to the GP and ask for a referral if you really want one...and book in....it doesnt mean you have to go there!!!!

Maybe because of the slow start they want to keep an eye on you...not sure why else they would be talking about keeping you for 20wks....

pumpernickel
07-01-2011, 23:21
Thanks Jacklicky. GP said to come back in 4 weeks so we can organise the 12week scan. I'll ask again then but in the meantime I might just call the hospital and see what the normal routine is without mentioning IVF or else mention IVF once she's told me what happens normally and then see if it changes. :p

(Three more sleeps until your BT!!)

DanniS99
08-01-2011, 09:21
Pumpernickel - I get the impression that once you have your 8 weeks scan (or some milestone like that) the FS will write a letter to your obst/GP confirming pregnancy and probably telling him any pertinant information. Repromed do that after my 8 week scan. With me- and I assume the other chicks there - a few weeks later, at week 11, they do another BT to look at progesterone/estragen levels and see if I am ready to be 'weaned' lol. Yes that's their term. At that point I don't have anything more to do with them. It seems there is a bit of a transition from FS to Obs.

pumpernickel
08-01-2011, 09:50
Hi Danni

I'm in Cairns and my FS is in Brisbane so I'm not actually seeing him for scans. My scan yesterday was just done at an xray place. So you're not being referred until almost 12 weeks either? That makes me feel better, thank you :highfive:

Pippi01
08-01-2011, 10:00
The nurse has already sent letter out for my ob stating the reasons why I underwent IVF. I think after my hb scan the FS will write a letter of confinement and that is it. Although I do have a choice to have my 12 scan there. But I see my ob during week 11 so I may get him to refer me.

I have found out why I am bloated aswell. When we digest food it takes longer as it is separating the nutrients from the food therefore our metabolism is slower. Which can cause wind, constipation and burping. I have been burping like mad recently which are sick burps. So now I finally know what I am going through. At least the bloating is a good thing and it is worth it!! :)

toshe
08-01-2011, 10:43
Danni - great results from BT!!!

Pumper - it's so unfair that we get treated differently because of IVF. We shouldn't even have to disclose this information unless we want too. It's not like others say 'my baby was conceived naturally' when booking in.

Pippi - at least there is a reason for bloating. I'm still seriously bloated with pain from OHSS. My ovaries are still very tender & sore & now I'm (sorry if TMI) dealing with constipation. I've eaten grapes, drank pear juice but still no good. It's really the only symptom though - no sore boobs or m/s - so it's a reminder that I'm actually UTD. I've been getting cramps on my tight side at night as well, anyone else been feeling crampy?

Toshe xx

Pippi01
08-01-2011, 11:23
Toshe - I though I had nausea due to hcg but it only happens when I burp a lot. Therefore when I am gassy! So I don't think I have had any signs of m/s. So you are not alone! :) My sore boobs come and go in waves. They are not intensly sore. With regard to constipation try psyllium. I swear by it. If I miss it one day I notice the difference. It keeps me regular! I know TMI! :D You can buy it in safeway in the Macro section. It is around $7 but it will last for at least 4-5 months!! You only need to mix a teaspoon in your cereal, milk or with some water.

A hint my my told me...

Don't eat grapes when you are in labour as the bub will have serious number twos! I won't go into detail with what 'serious' means. Lol....

I don't have cramps as such but when I was recovering from OHSS my lower right side was sending tight pain every now and then. It has eased off quite a bit now. I have noticed that when I need to go to the toilet the pain comes back. I think it maybe pressure. As I mentioned earlier. You are now recovering from OHSS and preparing for pregnancy. So you may feel twinges or tight pain. I wouldn't worry too much. It if gets worse you should call your nurse. :hugs: to you!!

Also you can write anything you like on this forum, even if it is TMI!! That is what we are here for!!

I know it is very early but I have been looking at prams. I am quite fussy with prams. Don't know why!! We are going to have a look at baby bunting today and then do quite a bit of research online to see if we can get it cheaper. I have found some really nice ones but they are quite expensive! Like over the $1000 mark! Ouch on the pocket.... But I do like the Strider plus!! Which is much friendlier on the money side. Anyone else have suggestions??

Katieee
08-01-2011, 12:37
Pippi - exciting that you're going on a pram hunt today! It's overwhelming how much there is to choose from. DH and I bought a Strider DLX (the model before the Plus) with capsule & basinette when we first started TTC around mid 2009 because a) we figured I'd be UTD in a month or two    and b) we liked it in red, which wasn't being continued in the Plus series. I ended up selling it about 9 months ago cos with the problems we were having it got to depressing having it around. But anyways, after getting rid of it and started looking at other options I realised how incredibly bulky and heavy it was. A lot of people have them and swear by them though, but that was just my personal observation.

Pippi01

Katieee - I totally agree with the bulky part. I was wheeling it around the shop and my DH and I thought how big it was. I fell in love with a mountain buggy 3 wheeler. It is the smallest one out of the three different options, I think it is called city..... I can't remeber but it was so compact and it just glides!! It was in red and I loved the colour. My DH nearly had a heart attack when he walked out. He said the nursery is going to cost a fortune!! I said I told you so!! Luckily we are getting my sister in laws cot.

The problem with the mountain buggy is that I have a funny feeling that my other sister in law has it on layby. She is due in May.... :(

Toshe, when I booked into the hospital to have DD I did get asked if she was conceived naturally or assisted! I was thinking what difference does that make!!!! And yeap I am still getting lots of cramps....

Pippi, with parms I know there are so many.....Main things to think off are if the are easy to fold and unfold...even one handed as many times you only have one hand.....How heavy they are and how small they fold down into the boot (especially if you have a small car) and also do they fir through a standard isle/checkout...you would be suprised how many dont and its a pain having to go through the wheelchair exit only especially when they dont have it open.....I had two three wheeler 'Valco' prams (inherited from my sister) which were great for walking and stuff but I ended up buying a Maclaren XLR stroller when she was one as it was so much easier to fit through the shops....

Also find out if your pram can have a toddler seat attached if you are planning more children....My sister had to buy the 2nd Valco pram cause the first one wasnt able to support a toddler seat.

Pumper, my MIL is in Cairns....Earlville is the suburb...

Well no more testing for me....Im all cool with whats going on so now just two sleeps to my blood test....hope the nurses call me with the result cause my FS barely tells me any info but the nurses are great and tell me everything.

Hi Danni

I'm in Cairns and my FS is in Brisbane so I'm not actually seeing him for scans. My scan yesterday was just done at an xray place. So you're not being referred until almost 12 weeks either? That makes me feel better, thank you :highfive:

Actually, yes, now that you mention it. My first non FS scan at 12 weeks is at an X Ray place too. (I have a 8 weeks scan at Repromed though)

Also you can write anything you like on this forum, even if it is TMI!! That is what we are here for!!

I fully agree. There is no room for squeamishness here - this is what we are here for! And we're all going through the same things with our bodies. :) Nothing wrrong with detail.. lol

I just wanted to say a big thank you. I've been getting so much support from all you wonderful ladies & I honestly don't know how I would have gotten this far without it.

I've decided I want the strides plus 3 - I saw it on special for $599 with a free toddler seat which is a great deal but I didn't buy it as I dont want to jinx myself. I think I'll wait till about 12-14 weeks before making any major purchases.

I was thinking about the 7 week scan - perhaps I should see if my GP will do it while FS is away. Problem is I guess she isn't as skilled & if she doesn't pick up a heartbeat I'm probably setting myself up to be even more anxious. What do you think?

 everyone

Hehehe... nice to go pram shopping. DH and I have been looking around over the internet for prams/baby seats/high chairs/bathing stuffs/etc.etc but have not decide on any yet. And Yes, they are seriously $$...
I have the same thoughts as Toshe.. not doing much/buying yet until I am in Week 11/12. Just in case.
Every thing is worrying me so far and I am stressing myself out for no reason.
:cantbelieveit:
Toshe - Cramping is normal especially with OHSS. My OHSS symptoms are subsiding especially the bloated'ness. Phew, that's the hardest part... my last blood shows that my estrogen level is still high but coming down. I still have cramps around my womb area... cramps like AF (a bit scaree)

Hope everyone else is doing fine.

We won't be buying anytime soon but I want tonout my feelers out so I know what is on the market. In April we are going on our last holiday before bubs comes along. We will be saving for that...

What is everyone's view on drinking tea 3 - 4 times a week. I drink peppermint tea but sometimes I crave a normal tea. Is this ok?

pumpernickel
08-01-2011, 23:40
We will have to buy a pram again too. We went through every type imaginable first time round so won't be spending a lot on one at all. After a few months I got sick of each one and found issues with them so I'd try a different type LOL I did find however that the 3 wheeler was the worst and would almost tip over in just a slight breeze but I think it's something you need to try for yourselves as I know some people like them.

We sold our cot last year too so will have to get one of those. And a car seat. And hmmm dunno what else! It sounds like a great idea for a spreadsheet  I am such a nerd.

Toshe, just go to an xray place. I could hear the heartbeat but saw the flicker straight away and they could still measure it easy enough. Find somewhere that bulk bills ;) and of course still go for your one with your FS so you get to see bub a bonus time :D

Jacklicky, Have been to Earlville a few times, there's a huge shopping centre there. Well, it's huge by Cairns standards. We don't actually go into Cairns much as we're about 30mins north in Palm Cove, almost half way to Port Douglas. It's beautiful but steaming hot. There's always a trade off hey ;)

Katieee
09-01-2011, 02:49
Pippi - I wouldn't be worried about a few cups of tea per week. From what I've read 200mg of caffeine per day is deemed ok, which is equivalent to:

- 2 mugs of instant coffee
- 4 cups of medium strength tea or hot chocolate
- 6 cups of Coke/Pepsi

pumpernickel

I was the same, Katiee... up half the night thinking. I was actually thinking about all the planning left to do for my wedding in April! We're off to the Lane Vineyard today to do the food (and wine) tasting/selection for the reception. I am excited cos we get to speak to the function cordinator fella again (appropiately gay, too) to do some more planning as the ceremony is there as well (down by the boatshed at the little lake there) :) And We get to show my parents the venu too. yay:cheerleader1:

I know Palm Cove....have been there heaps of times but never stayed there. I was a regular to Port Douglas before I met DH and now he always wants to stay at his mums..... I do escape to the shopping center at Earlville (which is right at the end of the road his mum lives in) quite regularly when I need some time out. My DH wants to move back to Cairns.....Im not too sure as all my family are here...but I do love it up there just so beautiful.....

Dani, have a wonderful day planning....

One more day for me....still no AF so thats always a good sign as I think Im about 15days past transfer!!!!

Hi ladies!

Lots happening in here!

Pram shopping..exciting! I have started to do some research online but I am thouroughly confused so will be keen to hear all your thoughts!

I am keen to start slowly buying up some little things now and then do the major purchases a bit further down the track. I have decided to use MCNs and have settled on the Bitti Tuttos from Itti Bitti. Very cute and look easy to use so DH won't complain! Anyone else going for MCNs?

I guess my situation with doctors and scans etc is slightly different from the rest of you ladies. The FS I saw was linked with the IVF clinic we used. He is also an ob so I will continue to be in his care throughout my pregnancy. I am sad I won't have contact with the nurses from the clinic anymore as they were lovely but they have said to call or email if I have any questions at anytime!

Pippi-Where are you going on holiday?? I think DH and I should have one last holiday before bubs comes...a babymoon! :p

Danni-Your wedding and reception venue sound beautiful!! Have fun with all organsing! How did the food tasting go? We got married in April-good time of year!

Toshe-If you are feeling concerned I would go to your GP and get a referral for a scan at an ultrasound place. Give yourself some peace of mind!! I am tempted to do the same..more because I am impatient!!

Jacklicky-Hooray that AF hasn't shown up! Great sign!! :babydust1:

Katie-How is your ms treating you? Any better?

Sorry if I have missed anyone. Will try harder to keep up!!

AFM..back to work on Tuesday! Not sure how I will cope without my afternoon naps! Still no ms in sight for me. Did another couple of HPTs yesterday to reassure myself..and yup! still pregnant!

Pippi01
09-01-2011, 15:47
Hi summa

It is good to hear from you. What is MCN?? And Bitti Tuttos?? :) I am learning quite a bit with pregnancy things!! I am like you, I want to get small things then big things later. With the pusher I am getting a mountain buggy - swift model with bassinet. I was against 3 wheelers but it glides so well and it is compact.

DH and I are going to London for 12 nights. That is if my pregnancy doesn't get complicated....... It will be a relaxing trip and staying in clean, nice hotels. I also have family there and friends. Can't wait!!! My DH said that I can't go clothes shopping because I will be pregnant. My come back was I can buy for bubs!!

That is funny with the HPT's, I have had no morning sickness either. In fact since I have been treated for nausea with acupuncture my nausea has gone!! Woo Hoo! Maybe we are having a boy?? But I am feeling really tired, I wake up feeling tired and my eyes are heavy all day!! I have had quite a bit of CM over the past couple of days and from what I have read it means there has been a surge in progesterone. So I am assuming that it is a good thing. Anyone else experiencing this? I have also been getting up more often during the night to go to the toilet.

Good luck tomorrow Jacklicky!!!

Hope you all had a relaxing weekend!!

:)

Hi Pipp!

MCNS are Modern Cloth Nappies and Itti Bittis are a brand of nappies. If you google Itti Bittis you should be able to find their website and have a look.

I will have to take a look at the Moutain Buggys! I wouldn't mind a 3 wheeler so we can go walking on the beach etc.

Oh London you lucky thing!!! I have never been there! I am sure you will have a great time and you are right..you can shop for bubs!!!

I have been feeling exhausted every day. No matter how much sleep I get! My CM has increased too over the past few days. Very wet down there! :p I can also relate to getting up to pee a lot...I think I'm averaging about 4 times a night!

Katieee
09-01-2011, 16:51
Jacklicky - yay for no AF! I have everything crossed for your BT tomorrow. Definitely sounding like it will be a :bfp: though.

Summa - I'm thinking about using a combination of disposables and MCN's. I like the look of Rumparooz myself.

Pippi - DH & I are headed to London this year as well! All being well with bub of course. We were originally thinking around July/August - assuming it would take at least a few rounds of IVF to get a :bfp:. That definitely aint gonna work , so will probably be mid April now. We're visiting/staying with friends over there, so feel pretty confident that if anything happens we'll be well looked after.

AFM - I think I have conquered my morning sickness! I came to the realisation that I'd been feeling so insanely horrible because I hadn't been eating anywhere near enough. So I was getting a double whammy of ms nausea and hunger nausea - resulting in a lot of :barf:. Still feeling pretty ghastly, but at least now I'm forcing myself to eat I've managed to keep more down and not feel the need to sleep every 2 hours . I realise it sounds pretty stupid on my part - obviously I was just a tad slow in putting two and two together

Hey summa
I will be using mcn's. Some cushie tushie's, itti bitti's and I have also been buying some gorgeous customs of wild child nappies, genese forge, widdlewuns, and of course course angel tears. I am just hanging out to find out weather it's blue or pink before I buy some more but I won't need many more maybe just some smaller newborn sizes but only a few as my stash is already a fair size!!!
Oh there are Soooo many gorgeous nappies out there. Have you been to the nappie addicts website?
Omg mcn's are addictive!!!
:-)

pumpernickel
09-01-2011, 20:04

MCN's here too. I already have heaps and heaps and if this bub is a girl I am all set to go.

If it's a boy then I have a great reason to buy more

I am not using MCN's when we go out though. I've tried that before and it was always a pain. Some mums do it well but it was too bothersome for me.

I am going to try some itti bitt's. Blueberry's are my favourite and I do have some of those in blue and purple so I guess I have a bit of a head start even if I have a boy on board.

What does everyone think they are having? I am guessing a boy, so much trouble already so far LOL And everyone I know is telling me they think it's a boy.

Does anyone have names picked? I've had a spreadsheet going for months

Katieee
09-01-2011, 20:28
I'm getting girl vibes and DH has been having dreams about a baby girl quite a lot recently  not sure if any if it means anything, only time will tell I guess!

We've had names picked out for quite a while - Reuben for a boy and Sierra for a girl.

pumpernickel
09-01-2011, 20:31
haha last time Hubby guessed girl all the way through. he was so sure. I thought boy right up until the last 2 weeks then I had an overwhelming feeling she was a girl. We didn't find out the sex at the 20week scan and we won't find out this time either. How about everyone else?

It would be nice to have our own section like the 'natural' pregnancy groups have then we could have different threads for each little topic.

09-01-2011, 20:56
Hey pumper,
Well due to peer, husband, grandmother pressure we will be finding out what the bubba is. At first I was very adamant that I wasn't going to find out the sex of the bub, but I have caved in and i am going along with the demands. Bonus is it will make it easier for clothes, nursery etc. I suppose.
I already have a super strong feeling it's a girl, but I will be happy with what ever we get.

Pippi01
09-01-2011, 21:05
It is funny how we all have our own preference. I like pikapu nappies. I have told a few ppl that I may go cloth and they can't understand why?? It frustrates me as it is a personal choice. Disposables take years to break down. That is one of the reason why I am thinking of going MCN. I get the lingo now. Lol... Thanks summa!!

DanniS99
09-01-2011, 21:15
Hey girls - have been out all day menu tasting/wedding planning etc etc. Back now - quite tired

No MS for me yet, just slightly sore boobs and borderline queasiness - but that's more of a hint of it than anything else. I should count my blessings I guess not be suspicious. lol

As for buying things - nothing till second trimester. Not till we're past that milestone. We did buy a journal book, day by day preganancy book and a names book too though. At least by the time we go for buying stuff you guys will be all researched up and you can give me advice and reccomendations! :)

Last thought - nappies - DISPOSABLE ALL THE WAY!!!! :)

bye!

09-01-2011, 22:50
We will be finding out the sex (as long as bubs cooperates of course!). Too impatient to wait!!

DH is adament we are having a boy. I am leaning towards this now considering ms hasn't kicked in badly yet given my family history. My mum and sister think girl.

Katie-I find I have only been getting nauseous when hungry. I am glad you figured out a way to feel a bit better!

Pumper-yeah it would be nice to have all different threads like the natural pregnancy section!

Pippi-I think a lot of people still think cloth nappies are the old terry toweling squares with pins and it's all complicated! I know my mum did until I explained how cool they had become! My DH is a little wary of using cloth but I will talk him round!

Renoir-I have only just started looking at all the MCNs but I can see why they would be so addictive! So many designs and all so cute!!!

Well it's been pouring down rain all day and looks to keep up. Lots of roads are closed now too. I am so sick of this weather!

Pippi01
10-01-2011, 07:16
I must have missed the sex of the baby chat. I sometimes read the threads so fast be wise I can't keep up..... Also I was out of yesterday! My mum is adament that I am having a girl. She she that she can't picture my DH and I with a boy. (not in a bad way). I have a gut feeling it is a boy. Either way We will be extremely happy. We are keeping our names a secret but finding out the sex. I suppose I can tell u the names.... Thomas for a boy and for some reason we are having trouble deciding on a girls name. DH likes Alice and I like Olivia. Alice is quite sweet and girlie!

I read an article on the net that after a four yr study couples who are undergoing IVF are more likely to have a boy!! Time will tell!! :)

Well i have given my blood donation so now its just waiting for the phone call. Last time it didn't take too long so I'm hoping before lunch.

As for sex I'm hoping we wont find out. DH wants to but I love the surprise and I figure since I'm pushing it out I get the final say..... I would let him find out and not tell me but i know he will slip up so its either both or neither. I have no idea what it will be....I didnt with my last one either...

Names....hmmm I kinda had the final say on first names for DD (DH did 2nd names) so DH 'thinks' he will have the final say this time :laughing::laughing: I will let him think that but I think we will get a list of names we like and narrow it down to three for each sex and then I will persuade him to choose the one I like best :D

I like the idea of MCN's but not really the washing. Just way too much washing without nappies....so we will be using disposables....

Anyhow Ill be back when i know something!!!!

My hubby doesn't like it or any of the names I suggest. But I tell him he isn't having a say as he already has two kids from previous marriage and he got to name them so it's all my choice I say!! Lol

summa, the things that I used to death were the old fashioned terry towelling nappies. Use them as spew cloths, to mop up stuff, as over the shoulder cloths, as absolutely anything you can imagine. I have to get me another pack of them. They have them at Target but not sure if they are on sale. I hope so. I'm disappointed with their sale so I'm going to wait to buy any big ticket items. Pippi, I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one that's starting to pop out already! I don't fit into my jeans at all and have spent most of the last week or two in skirts or dresses. I've lost around 1.5kg over the past few weeks (I blame MS), so I guess it can't just be extra flab . I bought a pair of maternity jeans online last week and OMG, they are soooooo comfy and they don't really look like maternity jeans. Even DH agrees you wouldn't really know unless you a) wear a really short top and b) look really closely.

Very interesting about the ICSI ration with girls. Wonder if that means a boy for me...:detective:

Pumper-Thanks! I have had a few mums tell me that old fashioned nappies are the best multi purpose cloth!
I wouldn't be too worried about lack of symptoms. Everyone is different and experiences things at different times. Try not to stress.

Pippi-Clever you sewing some pants! I wish I could sew!!! So exciting that you are the next to see their little one!!
Yup I have been feeling a lot warmer but all the time not just at night! DH tries to give me a cuddle and I push him away coz I feel too hot.

Katie-Very cool that you are starting to show already! I just feel and look bloated still!

AFM..rain rain and more rain. Decided to take one more day off work as this weather is freaking me out. Keeping an eye on the creek down the back of our place. I have never seen it so full or running so fast. DH went back to work yesterday too so I'm on my own!

Pippi - Twins would be lovely, but I don't think there's much chance of it happening . Apparently 5 day blast transfers have the lowest chance of twins. I think perhaps my stomach muscles just aren't doing a very good job of holding things in! I swim 5-6 times per week, so exercise wise I'm doing pretty well but I haven't done any targeted stomach work for almost a year (was always too paranoid whilst TTC).

Summa - I hope things stay under control as far as the water goes :fingerscrossed: we had quite a bit of flooding here (in Wagga) in November/December and it was pretty scary. I don't think it was anywhere near as bad as what's happening in QLD though.

Danni & Pumpernickel - you lucky lucky ladies! Getting away with such mild symptoms. I'm green with envy - or perhaps just green from nausea

AFM: I figured I may as well start taking belly pics considering there's something to see. This is today at 7wks1day.

I'm very glad we haven't been keeping it a secret, would be a bit difficult to keep it up for another 4-5 weeks!

Yay for the bump Katieee! I have a similiar bump too. It is funny that you posted a pic as I took one earlier this morning to post. We can compare bellies!! lol.....

Here are a couple of pics of my belly. One is a close up and one is further. It is similiar to Katieee's. I have noticed the change about four days ago. Last week I was really bloated but it has settled quite a bit that I have my diet down pat. Now the bump is higher and the bump below my belly button is starting to feel firmer.

Katieee - I have told close family and friends but I don't know how I can keep it a secret when I go back to work. I will be nine weeks and if I am showing now, I will be showing a lot more in a few weeks. I don't wear loose clothes either. So if I buy loose tops people are going to put the two and two together.

Summa - I hope you will not be affected. It is such a sad time for Australia. I was watching Sunrise this morning and they commented that the 7 news helicopter found a car floating in the flash flood and thought it was empty but they saw a family stuck in there. They called the emergency crew but when they arrived the car was gone. It was so sad to watch as you can see the parent in the front seat very stressed. Now they don't know if they are alive. I had tears in my eyes and nearly cried. :( The pregnancy is making me very emotional!

Yay for your bump too Pippi! Definitely looking similar as far as size goes. I started wearing looser clothing before my first IVF appointment in October last year, so people have kind of gotten used to me wearing loose-ish tops and dresses

I FINALLY got the results back from a BT I had last week through my GP. I ended up having to call my OB's office (she was copied on the results) because my GP's office were telling me I'd have to go in to see the Dr to get the results :hair: no way I'm going to spend $70 just to get two numbers they should be giving me over the phone! So as of last Wednesday (6w2d) HCG was 82,150 and progesterone was 159, so I'm feeling a bit more content now I know the results. Doubling rate is still sitting at around 2 days which is pretty good because from what I've read it often starts to slow down a bit once levels get over 10,000.

Loving the belly pics Katie and Pippi!!!

Katie-getting the BT results must put your mind at ease some more.

Pippi-I have been getting teary watching the news updates about the floods too! So far so good for where I am but surrounding areas are not having as much luck. Lots more road closures too. Glad I didn't go to work today...will reassess tomorrow and see whether I can actually get there!

Lovely photos! Definite baby bumps already

I know I should be grateful for no m/s, and I am! I started with it at 17 weeks last time so I don't think I'll get away with it this time, just my time hasn't come yet!
I think I should have some stretchy feelings though to indicate things are growing as they should be or could it all be happening without me knowing

Pumpernickel, perhaps being second time round your body isn't quite having the "WTF is going on here??!!" effects  I'm sure everything is ticking along nicely in the background

I did laugh at your belly piccs....cause I have a bigger belly than that when i arent preg....although mine is flabby  but I can definitely see bumps.....

pumper, i didn't get MS until I was 7-8wks and I know in my heart I'm not going to escape it this time....ohhh well feeling like I'm hungover for five weeks or so while I'm at work will be soooo easy! Last time I was on holidays so i didn't have to pretend.

What do you guys think? My boss knows I'm doing IVF so what do I tell him now? I don't want to tell him I'm preg until at least after the six week scan if we see a heartbeat but i would prefer to wait until the 12wk us.....I have a Dr appointment in two weeks which will seem like a new cycle but then what happens after that when I'm not going every few days.....

My DH said just disappear for 2hrs every few days:laughing::laughing: but I dont feel like I can do that. I was thinking about telling him we have to have a break for a month or so...but I just don't really want to lie cause he is going to know sooner or later....

And OMG I have been eating sooo much food. im not even hungry and Im still eating....I am going to be the size of a house if I cant get it under control!

Anyhow boobs are feeling slightly less sore today and cramping has eased a bit so im feeling pretty good all up.

Jacky - considering your boss already knows you were doing IVF....I'd be inclined to let him know things are looking good from the last round of treatment, you'll be having a few doctors appointments in the coming weeks but it's still early days. He'll no doubt get the general gist that you're pregnant but not wanting to formally acknowledge it just yet. I agree, better not to lie about it particularly if your boss has been understanding and accommodating with previous appointments etc while you were doing treatment.

jacklicky
12-01-2011, 11:41
Thanks Katieee, he is understanding but also a little bit intrusive which is why I was debating on saying anything...He asks me questions about where I'm up to and whats happening and they just aren't the kind of questions I want to answer from him....but you are right I think I have to tell him. I will wait until after the scan though cause i can get away with no appointments until the 24/1...then i just have to tell him and hope that he doesn't talk to me too much about it.

I think Im going to tell my mum and dad after the six week scan and I know DH wants to tell his mum then too....but our families are all gossipy so it will be all around the neighbourhood soon after

Have any of you kept it a secret still?

I don't know when to tell DD. Not really sure how much she will understand but I think we might wait until I'm showing a bit cause I'm sure she will tell people...little chatterbox she is.....Its kinda hard trying to stop her jumping on my tummy and accidentally hitting me when her limbs are waving all over the place when she wants hugs....

 yeah no way I'm putting up belly pics now either Jacklicky!

As for announcing, yeah I announced on fb last week. Most knew we were cycling again so it was only a matter of time before people started asking what was going on.

Our immediate families knew from day 1 or when I got the bfp then told to wait until I miscarry then surprise bubba is still on board so they've all been on this little rollercoaster too.

I'd probably just wait till your boss asks and say what katiee suggested that things are looking good and you've got a scan on xx/xx or hopefully he won't ask until after the scan!

Hi ladies!

Jack-if I had told my boss about IVF then I would be inclined to let them know that you have been successful. I am actually debating at the moment to let my boss know once we have our scan next week. I figure even if something (and I hope it doesn't) happens then I will have the support of my workplace if I need time off.

Actually what are everyones thoughts of waiting for 12 weeks to 'officially' annouce your pregnancy? I thought that was what I wanted to do, but now I am leaning more towards making it official once I have my scan and know everything is fine.

Pumper & Jack-I am with you on the belly pics..my belly is all flab and I don't want to share a pic until there is actually baby there!

The rain has eased here and even had some sun today. Hoping the worst of this is over.

DH and I are discussing the same thing. He said last night that I won't be able to hide it much longer. My co ordinator at work knows but she said not to say anything until 12 weeks. If people ask I will say yes I may not officially announce it till 10 weeks. The problem is the parents. They will notice straight away and start gossiping.

Danni-for me it's all bloat!!!

 everyone

Dannis - I think the tummy/belly issue is mainly from our bloated'ness' and the drugs we've taken. I understand that in any pregnancy - usually not visible until at least Week 12 or so.. In saying this, of cos some ppl does show way earlier than others. I think i have bigger belly compare to my normal days :p - I blame it on the drugs and the high estrogen in me that makes me bloated.

Summa - I have the same thinking as you.. DH and I really wanted to only announce our pregnancy in Week 12 but we really love to announce it sooner to share our joy :D After our HB scan (Week 7) and my OB appointment the week after.. We will probably be announcing to most of our close friends :cheerleader2:
:fingerscrossed: everything will be fine. Bubba, please grow well and make us all proud mommies :smiliedance:

Pippi - parents.. yes, parents always announced it faster to everyone else than we do. Love your belly pictures.. I am still bloated and don't want it to be mistaken and bubba. I'll start to take mine soon.. one before Week 12 and one each month after :p.

Katiee - Nice to know your bosses are as excited as you and supportive (main thing ;)) Love your belly picture

Pumper - :cheerleader2: for announcing on fb !! I am looking forward to my announcement too... :flowerz:

Jacklicky - My DH parents don't know I am pregnant too. They are a bit of a gossiper so they would only be finding out later. I am sure DD will be excited to find out she will have a lil sis/bro soon... :D

Toshe - How are you coping? OHSS symptoms easing off for you ?

AFM, tmr will be my Week 6 BT and then followed by the week after for HB scan. Hoping everything will be fine tmr. Been feeling sooo tired once started work this week... Find it hard to keep up my energy. So used to taking naps while on about 4 weeks break (for IVF and Chrissy).

For me I have been comfort eating since Xmas and no exercise for two weeks...so the belly I worked so hard to get off is back. I am hoping to get control of the eating one of these days and Im back at the gym but I dont know if Ill manage to get rid of the belly before it starts growing.....

As for telling people...I would love to keep it secret but I hate to lie to people...especially my family but I just want make sure things are going ok before I tell them. So Ill probally tell them after the 6wk scan and then tell 'friends and everyone else after 12wks but Id say the gossip mill will go into fast forward and most people will know after my family know....

I am so tired tonight. Nothing to do with being preg but more to do with the gym session I did.....Feel better for it but so tired.

As for tummies - this weekend I am picking up my wedding dress. i am going to get my parents to take some pics of me wearing it with a flat tummy so that after the wedding I can show DP what it was MEANT to look like lol. I think by April I will definitely show!

The early 'show' is where our body is stretching to accomodate the growing uterus. (from what I have read) Hence the little bump. So I don't think we are 'showing' in terms of the baby (as you would get at 12 weeks) but it is a sign that our body is changing. Does this make sense? :)

:iagree: definitely not baby showing. It's only just approaching the size of a raspberry but the uterus is almost the size of a grapefruit (possibly bigger for some depending on blood flow) which on a smallish frame person can obviously create a bit of a bump. I'm guessing everything nearby is being pushed around a bit too which might add to what's visible.

Hi Everyone,
Sorry I've been MIA. I haven't had a chance to catch up on where everyone is but I will do so as soon as I can. I'm in QLD and havebeen slightly affected by floods. I was traveling home from visiting my father earlier this week when a landslide from rain in one direction and a river that burst it banks in the other have caused road closures. Both towns in affected areas have been evacuated but I'm really lucky to have found a small cottage to stay in. This is my 4th day here and I'm hoping I can get home to DH today. To top it off I'm with vodafone and have not had any reception, but today it's not raining and I've got reception so I'm on the iPhone.

I'm supposed to have a 6 week BT today but obviously won't make it so FX everything is ok. On a positive note ive started getting occasional sore boobs & nausea so I'm hoping bubs is still growing well.

Sorry this is a big ME post I'll do personals when I catch up on everyone.

Toshe xx

Toshe - I wish you a safe journey home. :)

It is a good sign that you are getting nausea and sore boobs!!! I have been really tired and my sense of smell is really strong. No nausea yet so hopefully it won't come.

Also ladies, target have 20% off maternity bras.

Toshe, have a safe trip home but dont risk moving if your still unsure.....Another day or two isnt too long to wait to make sure you are safe. Im sure you can get your scan on another day.....

As far as the maternity bras go I love the Bonds Bumps range. You can get bras and singlets. I have been in them since I got preg with DD and just never stopped wearing them as they were so comfy..... I might go to Target today and check out some new ones!

Well nothing else to report. Felt sick last night when I was cleaning out the laundry where the cats live. I guess thats the sense of smell kicking in. Did try and convince DH he needs to start cleaning out the kitty litter tray....but he is sooooo lazy so I just have to do it myself until I can get the Dr to impress how much I shouldnt be doing it.

Hi all Im a newbie to Bub Hub this is in fact my first post.
I hope Im posting in the right part of the forum????
My forum name pretty much speaks for itself as it seems in two short years of IVF Ive become addicted to getting a baby..as this TTC bizzo just consumes ones life.
I have had 6 stim cycles of IVF over a two year period starting at the ripe old age of 39 I sadly have had one IVF MC on my 3rd cycle.
I finally cracked another BFP in November to my total surprise after I was convinced the cycle had failed.. and Im now due in late July 2011.
I am nearly 12 weeks :)
The 12 week milestone and upcoming scan are a bit of a worry for me as I lost my last BFP at the 12 week scan so I hope this time its a happier scan.:fingerscrossed:
This added worry has been my hardest hurdle so far and equally tough on my husband as he worries internally I worry out loud !
Im about to back read all your posts on this thread and familiarise myself with all the July babymothers stories thus far.
Has anyone had headaches in their 11-12th week I have had them all week !

Welcome Babyjunkie! We are all around 6 - 8 and some of us have head hb scans, I go for mine on Monday.

Sorry to hear that you had a ms at 12 weeks. That must have been really hard for you both. Goodluck with the upcoming scan! I am 6 and a half weeks and already have headaches. They are horrible! :( Feel free to add yourself to the roll call! There is a great group of girls on this thread and we all support each other! So feel free to discuss your worriers on here. :)

Jacklicky - I refuse to clean the cat litter. I pre warned my DH that he will be doing it as soon as ET was done. He has been pretty good....

I have started making a cot quilt for my friends baby shower and I am really tired now. It doesn't take much to wear ourselves out. I may have a rest then pop into Target.....

Also my nurse called today to see how I was going, I said to her that sometimes I feel normal. She giggled and said that it is ok to feel like that and there is nothing to worry about. Phew.... Does anyone else feel normal sometimes?

Jacklicky - I saw the Bonds Bumps range in Myer a few weeks ago, they look super duper comfy and not daggy like so many other maternity bras. Unfortunately they didn't have any in my size (10DD) :crying: but I can see some places online have them in a 12DD, might give that a try.

Babyjunkie - :bigwelcome: and congrats on your BFP!

Pippi-I went to Target tonight to check out the sale. I was so dissapointed in their Maternity bra range..tiny! And they had nothing in my size! I did however manage to put $150 worth of baby stuff on lay by!!! :D

Jack-Perhaps you can print some stuff off the net about pregnant woman not touching cat litter and leave it lying around for him to read?!?

Babyjunkie-Welcome! Sounds like you have had a long journey to get here. All the best with your pregnancy.

Danni-Have you tried your PHI for covering Crinone? I know mine paid out for the Letrozole (like Clomid) as it was $200 a pack!! Worth a shot.

Katie-Know what you mean about being tired. I had a terrible nights sleep and spent the day at work trying not to fall asleep at my desk!

AFM..Having a little bit of a freak out. Had diarrhoea last night and then woke up with period like cramps early in the morning. Starting to worry that all is not good with the baby. :freakingout: Trying to stay positive as I have lots of symptoms but a little part of my brain is going nuts with 'what ifs'.

Summa - :fingerscrossed: everything is fine and this bubba is a sticky one. To make you feel better, I was down on diarrhoea the day after ET.. was soo worried and freaking out but bubba is still in there and doin well. Don't worry too much, bubba should be nice and comfortable now and nothing will happen. :)

AFM, yay :smiliedance: Week 6 blood test today came back all good. HCG has increased to 25,865 and FN said everything looks good. Except :( my estrogen level has gone up. My my.. why won't this go down? That explained my bloated'ness' still... Is anyone still struggling with high estrogen levels? I wonder if it would be harmful for pregnancy?

Just putting in 1st OB appointment next Friday. Hopefully that means a 2nd look at bub

Summa - I wouldn't be too worried about the diarrhea. I've had it on and off for the last 3-4weeks, apparently sometimes it's just hormones having an effect on your body and your stomach reacts differently to some foods etc. Or it's also possible to easily pick up a mild stomach bug (or any other virus for that matter) because our immune system is lower than normal right now. As far as the cramps go, this is pretty normal - it's just because of the growing/stretching going on. Unless they're really really painful cramps, last for a very long time or you have bleeding as well I wouldn't be worried. Probably just a coincidence it happened soon after the diarrhea. I hope it settles down for you soon. Always good to check with your doctor though if it's still causing you concern

Hi all.... I am starting to feel very weird. It's really such a insignificant feeling that I can barely describe... but I guess it's an irritibilty when sometimes you just cant bear things. Like I had a contractor here at my place today and he just (he was very nice) chat, chat, chatting the whole time and I just wanted him out of the place so I could be alone here. Last night when I was shopping - I had nothing particular wrong with me but it was this vague discomfort and I just was desparate to get home and sit on my couch. It wasn't even fatigue really. ANy of you guys feeling this indescribable type feeling?

As you for you guys get diarrohea... I am the opposite! :(

Highhopes-Yay for your HCG rising!! Go bubba go!! :cheerleader2: Can't help you with the estrogen levels though. I think my BT was only progesterone and HCG. Next week is going to be filled with lots of good news from everyone about seeing their little ones!! :babydust1:

Katie-Thanks for putting my mind at ease! I think I was just having one of those paranoid days!

Teags-Hello! Of course you are more than welcome to come and pop your head in!! Great to hear you will get to do a FET in February! I hope it goes well.

Danni-I can relate to the irritability. The smallest things are completing bugging me. I have also found I would rather stay home than go out anywhere..which worked fine over my holidays but now I am back at work its not so easy!

AFM Had another terrible nights sleep so spending today relaxing. I am glad I don't work Fridays!

Hi ladies.....

Welcome teags! You don't need permission to pop in!

Summa- I totally agree with the lack of variety of maternity bras. They looked like old ladies bras. I am going to my local bra shop. It may cost more but I don't want to be daggy!! I am bursting out of one of my bras!! I did get a stretchy top for $15, it will be perfect for work!!

Dannii - you are not alone!! I have been a little edgy lately and I don't feel like socializing. I just want to stay home and go for walks!! I have signed up for prenatal yoga, so hopefully I will meet other mums to be near me. I don't have a lot of local friends as we have only moved here a yr and a half ago. My one friend who is close is enjoying her time in Italy atm.... So envious!

I have been suffering from really bad headaches which has inhibited me to do anything. Today I am feeling a lot better.... I am off to the doctors tomorrow with my shortness of breath. It has come back but it is not as bad. I read on baby center that the progesterone and hormones can cause shortness of breath in early pregnancy.... It is so annoying!!!

Have a great weekend ladies!!

Having another major freakout moment. Went to the loo this morning and when I wiped there was brown blood. I know brown blood is normally ok but since I had been cramping on and off the last few days I was in tears.

Managed to get it together to call my obs after hours line and he wants me to go and get a BT and scan done for peace of mind. My GP no longer works weekends (just found that out!) so have managed to snag an appointment at a medical centre nearby. Hoping I won't have much trouble getting a BT and scan done on a Saturday otherwise I will have to worry until Monday..

Sorry about the 'me post' but need to share with someone. My DH isn't here so dealing with this on my own. :(

Sorry for the delay girls. Thank you for all your kind thoughts.

In limbo right now until I speak with my ob later today.

The sonographer found a tiny heart beat of only 90BPM and I am only measuring at 5w5d when I should be up around 7w3d. She wouldn't say much else. Her report says 'there appears to be a large haemorrhage in the endometrial cavity and the GS appears to move freely up and down in the fluid, changing shape as it does.'

No idea what this means for our little Bubble.

I am with my mum and sister as I am quite upset. Have not been able to get hold of DH to fill him in.

pumpernickel
15-01-2011, 15:03
:hugs::hugs::hugs: oh gosh summa girl. That all sounds very cryptic doesn't it. Are bubs supposed to move freely? Hopefully your ob can shed some light on the matter. I know I've been pg before but it feels like it's all new again this time so unfortunately I can't even offer you any advice, just lots of hugs :hugs:

Summa - I am thinking of you hun and hope that you managed to get hold of your DH. I am so glad you are with your mum and sister in the meantime and hope your FS gets back to you soon. I will be hoping and praying that everything works out – there is a heartbeat so that is a positive. It must be very scary for you. Big hugs!!!

Pippi – Did you hear from your FN? I hope the spotting has stopped now. I don’t really know much about bleeding in pregnancy but it does happen and brown spots without associated pain do seem to be a common occurrence in other threads so hopefully its just like you said and your body having a bit of a clean out J

AFM – I am back home safe & sound after my enforced holiday. Thanks everyone for your kind words and well wishes. I feel really lucky that my home and loved ones are all safe and my heart goes out to those in and around QLD that are not so lucky.
I’m really hanging out for my scan as I just want to know that bubs is in my uterus and holding on tight. I’ve been getting really sore boobs at night so I’m thinking I might have to start wearing a bra or supportive singlet to bed. I have been feeling sick for a few days but today m/s has really kicked in and I have spent most of the day running to the bathroom. I feel really hungry but can’t seem to keep anything down L

Pippi01
15-01-2011, 19:02
I managed to get hold of the FN and he didn't seem too concerned. I have had more CM discharge since with no trace of bleeding. So it could be a one off thing!! :fingerscrossed: I told him the size was half of a five cent piece. It was really tiny but very dark. I don't have any pain!! Which I think is a relief. My DH thinks everything is fine as I am still really tired and my boobs are huge. I have gone from a B cup to C cup already!! I felt really good yesterday and today I am exhausted. I had an afternoon nap on the couch. Then the phone rang and woke me up! Grrr.....

It is good to hear that you are going through the motions Toshe!! That is a positive sign that things are moving along nicely.

Terrible and disappointing as this is, take comfort in the fact that it's nature's way of weeding out what wasn't quite right to start with. Hi to everyone else. Nothing much to report here. Its pretty quiet and had a quiet weekend with DH working most of it so it was just really doing house work and trying hard to keep DD occupied while DH was sleeping during the day. One more week until my scan. The only problem about knowing about it all so early is that now it seems a long time until each appointment.

I think we have lots of scans this week so goodluck to everyone.

I am off for my HB scan this morning.... A little nervous but a little excited at the same time. Wish me luck ladies!!

toshe
17-01-2011, 08:45
Summa - how are you today?

Pippi - GL with the HB scan. You must be super excited. Can't wait to hear all about it.

AFM - not much to report here. Still feeling nauseus but luckily no more running to the bathroom. Oh, and I seem to be getting lots of thick CM. I think Pippi mentioned this is due to a rise in progesterone and as I'm unsupported I hope this is a good sign.

GL to all those having scans this week!!!

DanniS99
17-01-2011, 08:48
Pippi I'd be VERY excited if I were you!!! :)

PS. What is CM?

Katieee
17-01-2011, 09:46
Pippi - good luck for your scan today! :gl:

Summa - I hope you're doing ok :hugs:

Danni - CM is cervical mucus, ie secretions downstairs.

Toshe - glad to hear you're feeling a bit better, nausea still sucks though!

Jacklicky - hope the week flies by for you. I agree, the waiting just seems never-ending.

Hope everyone else had a good weekend :sunshine:

AFM - MS is still well and truly here, but like Toshe not as much praying to the porcelain gods recently  just constant nausea. Scan is on Wednesday and I'm both excited and incredibly nervous. My concern is that my HCG levels are so high (82,150 @ 6wks2days). And of course, what do I do - consult Dr Google :banghead2:. Common causes seem to be multiples, molar pregnancy or genetic abnormalities. I've had cancer twice before, and so the molar pregnancy bit is what scares me the most because I'm not sure if this means I have a higher risk. I know it's stupid to worry because it could just be one super strong little bub or identical twins, but being first go lucky with IVF - it just almost seems too good to be true.

Pippi01
17-01-2011, 09:48
CM - cervical mucas.

My appetite has been going crazy over the past few days. I am so hungry all the time!!

Appointment is a 10:15... Munching on a cookie and hot choc at Hudsons now.... Mmmmm.....

jacklicky
17-01-2011, 09:58
Are you in Vic Pde Pippi? Good luck for the scan. Hope you see a good strong HB.

Katieee, Wednesday for your scan how exciting. Glad you haven't actually vomited...but that feeling of constant nausea is just horrible....but normally a good sign not to be worried!

Danni, cant believe you got this far without knowing what CM is? I have to try not to use all the abbreviations in conversations with people who have no idea what Im talking about!

toshe, I have been getting lots of CM as well and Im not on any support either.

pumper how are you going?

Hi to everyone else.....gotta go run off to the loo again

Katie-Glad to hear the ms is sort of easing. I hope your scan on Wednesday goes well and bubba is exactly as he/her should be. Would be amazing if there was 2!!!

Toshe-Glad you are not needing to run to the loo as much with your ms! All good signs that bubs is staying sticky!

Jack-I hope the time passes quickly until your scan. The waiting is so hard!

Danni-Hope you are feeling well and bubs is sticking in tight.

AFM..not much to report. Still the same. Got to try and make myself a GP appointment so I can get another BT referral. Pretty sure I know the result already but I guess it has to be done.

Katieee
17-01-2011, 11:00
Summa I'm not sure if you've been reading the July/August/Sept thread but there was a post in there by Sharlsmum yesterday who had bad cramping/bleeding with large clots (she described them as the size of golf balls) at around 9.5wks. It turned out to be a hematomea causing the bleeding and she's currently 20wks pg with twins. I know it's difficult to stay positive with everything going on, but I just wanted to pass that one on in incase you hadn't seen it - miracles can and do happen :hugs::hugs: I hope you can get into your GP quickly and get some answers.

afm, oops I didn't update, my scan was changed to thursday afternoon. They just rang earlier asking me if I'd go into the big city to have it instead of near home. Yeah, I don't think so! So I asked about the afternoon before so it's one less sleep until I see bubba!

I am slightly nervous as I still haven't felt any twinges and have zero symptoms. Occasionally I have felt nauseous but that's probably becausing I am eating like a pig 24/7. I've just been out for lunch with friends and I ate 3/4 of a sandwich LOL I never eat that much!!

17-01-2011, 20:11
Summa and Pippi, I can't stop thinking about you girls. This IVF business has such incredible highs but also tremendous lows. You two were so so lucky to experience a BFP on your first go, proof that it does work and you CAN get pregnant. Try and hold onto that hope while you both take time to recover and gather your strength to hopefully try again if you can. My heart breaks for you both and I wish you all the success in the future. :hugs:

I am hoping the next few days brings some wonderful news from the ladies who are getting their scans done. :babydust1: :goodvibes:

I am off to get a BT today and should be able to speak to my ob this afternoon about the results. I am not sure what will happen after that, whether I will need another scan or whether I will have to keep having BTs until the levels drop to 0. The GP I saw yesterday (to get BT referral & medical cert) seemed to think I may still need to have a D & C despite how much I have been bleeding. I guess that will be up to my ob.

Will let you all know how it goes.
