My twins 14/10/09

I just found this thread and would like to share my story I was pregnant in 2009 with identical twin boys, When I had my 18wk scan that was the day that shattered our lives forever they found both babies were missing apart of the brain and with that other serious complications we were given the worst possible news that our babies had a serious problem we continued having ultrasounds and a MRI to confirm the heartbreaking outcome of our twins and we were given the decision to interrupt the pregnancy and that was the hardest decision to ever have to make and given the outcome of both twins we decided to interrupt the pregnancy at 21wks and 5days. My heart aches with sadness every day. We already have 2 children and decided on having a 3rd and so far it has been heartbreaking. I feel like not giving up and staying positive but it is very hard.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. :hugs:

I DO believe its the hardest decision to have ever made and I too had to make that choice with our first baby (my story is on here)

It is hard when this happens and I'm happy you have 2 healthy kids already.

It is hard to push through and decide to have another child after such emotional losses.

I had our first at 19wks, our 2nd DD is a healthy 17month old, our 3rd was a miscarriage at 6wks and now pregnant with our 4th (16weeks along). I stress everytime i get an ultrasound and even through the pregnancy that something is going to go wrong but have been trying to over come this feeling (which is extremely difficult). No one has any answers to why this has happened to us.
