hi la62,
Sorry I didn't see your post earlier, so this is probably too late for dinner tonight.
I usually put ham, mushrooms, cheese, vege's or whatever else I have on hand and lightly beat egg and milk then pour them over the ingrediants I have already put into the pan (ceramic baking pan). YOu can lightly saute vege's first, so they don't come out crunchy in your fritata. Then put into the oven at about 180 C for around 25 mins, might be a little more or less depending on how much egg you put in. Tomato laid gently on the top before you put it in is nice too. You can do a pastry base, but I usually don't because it's lower fat without it. YOu don't need to add flour or anything, though some recipes like toad in the hole use it.
Do make sure you grease the pan though with some non stick spray, as it can be a bugger to remove otherwise.:banghead:
God this is abit of a ramble, but I hope you understand what I mean...enjoy!!:chef:

Frittata is usually made in the frypan, saute your ingredients, pour the lightly beaten egg and milk over the ingredients, and let it cook on a medium heat on the stove top....When the edges start to cook, then place some grated cheese on top, and place it under the grill......and that is generally a Frittata....or you can place it in the oven, similar to a quiche....hope it turned out alright, and you enjoyed.......

I was making some macaroni today when I saw a recipe on the back for fritata so I thought I would drop a line here for you!

500g macaroni, cooked and cooled
oil
250g salami thickly sliced
1 onion thinly sliced
1/2 red and 1/2 green capsicum sliced
10 eggs, lightly beaten
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 cup grated mozzarella cheese

Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add salami, onion and capsicum and cook for 2-3 minutes or until onion has softened. Add cooked pasta and toss to combine.

Pour over beaten eggs and cook over medium heat for 10 minutes or until almost set.

Sprinkle cheeses over the top and place in a preheated grill for 10 minutes or until golden or set.

Serves 4-6

Sounds yum!

Hey LA26, how did your fritata turn out? I think it's pretty hard to stuff up:thumbsup:
Polony, that recipe looks yummo, might give it a go through the week.:chef:
