View Full Version : handmade designer baby blankets good idea or not?
I was thinking of making baby blankets with animal designs (both real and mythical) with the option of having the kid's name added as well.
not sure if it's a viable idea or not though...:iron2:
cool. I also have no idea what to price them but I think that's a later problem.

The only problem that I can see is the cost of the time taken to make versus the price people are willing to pay. If you are happy with that ratio, then go for it :hyper:
true but considering it would also keep me sane... I'm willing to make that trade off.
hmm... am I allowed to ask what price range people would pay?

You can get them off eBay. Maybe have a look in there at their price range. :)
I like the idea.
I've bought some on etsy- so much nicer than what I could find in the shops- I had to get mine from the states as there wasn't many aussie sellers- could be a good little business:)
I found them to range mostly between 30 and 40 (usd) on ebay and pretty much that (with a few pricey ones) on etsy too.
came up with a name too, wild bubs. did think of wild babes but thought that could be misconstrued lol
well after the flood I've started actually doing this idea. I'm making a website and have created some design sketches.
Sounds great! When it is up and running could you please PM the link to me. Sounds like something I would love to have
and would make good pressies too I think!
Don't have any photos you can post here for us to all have an advance look at do you? :)

Before you answer the question and get into trouble ... just let you know I'll close this thread now as you're now on your way with the business, so further discussion is considered self promotion and against the rules.
Don't forget to put the link in your profile though when it's finalised and also apply to BubHub Directory for a free listing.
Good luck with your business.
