So were having ds's second birthday party tomorrow- forcast 35 degrees, we're expecting about 20 adults and 8 kids, eldest being 4... So i am looking for food suggestions- we're having a bbq with snags, burgers and chicken kebabs, potato salad, salad and bread. But i am not sure what to serve before? Was thinking a big fruit platter, but should i do something else too? I also have some frozen gogurt thinks for the kids if they get hot playing

Then what do you put in party bags? I want to give them something, but not something full of sugar and colourings!

I would have thought the fruit platter for starters would be plenty...I always over cater :)

I like little toys / stickers / balloons / bangles and beads in party bags, I have been known to pack little packs of lip gloss and nail stickers in too (can you tell I only have girls :D ).

Cheers

I always have a little server platter with csabai, cheese and crackers, small bowls of nuts, olives etc.

Fruit platter sounds the go especially if its going to be a warm day.
I use to put cheese sticks balloons stickers in lolly bag and had a balloon on a balloon stick about 10c each they were alot cheaper then helium ones and less chance of the little one letting go of them and can always put a new balloon on them
