Anyone have any info and opinions on this program. I have a friend who is a part of it and she loves it, especially the child care help.

I am looking at putting the twins into child care next year and thought we could afford it, but it looks like it might be a bit too much for us even after CCB.

This program was suggested as a way to get the childcare much cheaper.

I am not sure I like the idea of having DoCS so involved in our life though.

Ok I don't know anything about it..

But I just read a few pages on it..

Do you meet any of the criteria for a family That is "vulnerable" I just read the criteria and the people they help Which us great for the people who actually have this problems but I wouldn't exaggerate any problems or anything like thy to use it..

I personally wouldn't feel comfortable for that with my family.

In which ways do you think it will benefit your family other than for daycare?

The program is designed for families at risk, as a means to facilitate improved parenting skills and intervention before statutory involvement.... It is not designed as a means to seek cheap childcare... This assistance may be provided if it is deemed of benefit to the family to improve there situation in one way or another....

You can be referred by DoCS, ngo's or self refer...

Ps it is docs funded but generally services are provided by ngo's that are contracted to do so

Yeah, it seems a bit off to rort something for cheap child care. I did some more reading and it seems like a good thing for those that need it. Not us though.
