Hi

I want to get a grobag for my 5 week old baby and am not sure what size to buy, I keep getting conflicting advice from the stores can anyone help?

Also what tog rating should I get, I live in Adelaide. Lucy is 55cm.

Have other people found grobags good??????

I'd appreciate any advice :D

I think there is a grobag for up to 6 months. I was told 1 tog was good for Aus as they are made for the UK where it is a lot colder, but I am not sure how chilly it gets at night where you are - we are in Sydney but we might as well be in Darwin as our unit is baking for some reason even at night.

It doesn't say they deliver internationally but have a look at this website:

They are a lot cheaper than getting here in Aus and if you email them they might post out here. Either that or if you know someone in England ask them to post to you instead.

I am a huge Grobag fan!! Both mine have used them and my youngest still does, he loves it and knows that when the bag is on its time to sleep so has always settled well!
I woulld recommend the medium weight, we have a reverse toweling one, it seems to keep them warm in the cooler months with pjs on and cool in summer with just a body suit or t shirt on.
They are available all over the place now and you can buy them online at

www.bumpto3.com.au

They wash really well and have done almost 4 years of wear and will be passed onto a cousin for further use when we are done!!
good luck

Another option is to look into the range from Snugtime ... they do something very similar to grobag and laso have sleepsiuts that are available up to size 7!

I found the sleepsuit I had for my son to be a godsend and the grobag-like item wonderful for both of my kids as babies (please don't tell anyone my son slept in a pink one - lol!).

I found them to be invaluable. DS didn't liked being swaddled so I switched to Grobags around 6-8weeks. It kept him nice and warm no matter how much he wriggled. I've found the quality of the Grobag brand to be far superior than others that I've seen (especially the zippers). I think I started with the up to 6mth size and I got the 2.5tog ones. The bags come with a room thermometer and a dressing guide. I live in QLD and didn't find them too hot for most of the year (in spring/autumn I'd just dress DS in a singletsuit).

I purchased mine from the Bumpto3 website and found their service to be fantastic. I'd be careful about buying o/s because in trying to save a few dollars you may be slugged with customs duty and GST when it arrives in Oz.
