Hi all,
I'm an AP parent. I've always just done what's come naturally. I'm copping a lot of flack for breastfeeding, blw, baby wearing, co sleeping when we can etc.
I have the no cry sleep and discipline solutions and am wanting to read further. No where has children are people too which is frustrating and I would love your recommendations for good reading material.
Thanks :bookworm:

Have you tried your local library, thats where I found 'children are people too'. Also try booko.com.au, it will say where you can get it.
Otherwise I've heard people rave about 'The Continuum Concept' by Jean Liedloff. Its old but apparently amazing. I haven't read it myself though.

Will try the website. Thanks. Local library don't have anything. They seem limited and weren't helpful. Librarian said to try save our sleep.:banghead2:

Dr Sear's books are pretty good, as is his website (http://www.askdrsears.com/)for that matter.
Otherwise, Children are People Too by Louise Porter is a favourite of mine. I also liked Parenting for a Peaceful World and Heart to Heart Parenting by Robin Grill. Oh, and Unconditional Parenting and a bunch of others by Alfie Kohn.

The Baby Book by Dr Sears is AWESOME
I've just finished The Continuum Concept - it was at times hard to wade through, but it had moments of sheer brilliance. I enjoyed it quite a bit and still have some of it stuck in my head.
I've just started Children Are People Too and I'm quite glad I'm reading it now while DD has only just started exploring, I think it will be a worthwhile read.
