my son is 14 weeks old and is already 8.2kg. he was 3.7kg when born 2 weeks early. im just worried that he is too big? he is formula feed and has 180ml 5 times a day but the past week has totally gone off the bottle, drinking only 100ml probably 3 out of those 5 bottles. should i be concerned?
He looks to be a good size. How long is he? If he's gone off his bottles a bit he might be starting to teeth, if your concerned I'd call your GP. They'll be able to make sure he's a good weight for his size.
If he's longer than a lot of other bubs his age than he'll weigh more, I know I had this with both my boys, they were on the top end of the chart, now instead of two chubby bubbies, I have two tall skinny boys!

he is 65cm so he is at the top of the chart! i am going to my early childhood centre this weeks so will talk to them.
he sounds fine and as u said he is long for his age so it evens it all out

I'd say he's fine. If he's a bit chubby now that's good, wait till he starts crawling around and then walking! They lose all that extra weight quickly!

He looks lovely and healthy!
My DD was formula fed and started doing the same with her five 180 ml bottles.. So I cut her down to four 240mls and spread them out throughout the day and she gulped them all down - no wastage. She was also a big bub from birth (4.165kg), so I started introducing a bit of solids at 4-5 months aswell.:)

Dear Jake and Ta Ta’s Mum,
Your son’s weight is at the very upper end of the ‘typical’ weight range for his age. As far as his change in formula intake goes, see my reply in the ‘Fussy Eaters’ section about ‘Is he eating enough.’
At this point, I would not be too concerned. However, if his weight measures continue to increase (and do not stay along the same relative line of the growth chart) or his formula intake does not increase again soon, I would certainly see your doctor or child health nurse.
Remember – someone’s bub is going to be at the top of the growth chart, just as another is going to be at the bottom – it’s what gives us the range of what is ‘typical’ and makes our little ones unique!
