Unswaddling - common or should I be worried

my 11 mo has up until now been swaddled. i have unswaddled her for day naps and she seems to be going well
tonight i put her down first night unswaddled and she is falling asleep - but then i noticed she is grizzling as her arms keep startling. is this her startle reflex (even thought i am pretty sure it was gone along time ago) or is this because it is new tonight. i once heard they should loose their reflex about 4 months otherwise something could be wrong?
i may be overreaction as im nervous about how she will go!!

it is completely normal for them to startle at noises or at discovering the freedom of her arms she should get used to it soon. =)

Common, stopped wrapping mine at 7ish months & went to sleeping bags.

I dunno... I never swaddled DD. She hated it. She would wriggle free and whinge until she was no longer strapped down in a wrap.
