View Full Version : Perth Mums
Hi All,
I am a 22 year old Mum to Mikayla born 18/04/2009 and am expecting number 2 on 30/03/2011.
I've just moved to Perth and really want to meet some new people, I don't really know the suburbs or how to go about meeting people.
I am living in Nollamara so if anyone is near me please let me know, I'd love to come along to a playgroup or something like that. :xmas:

How do you like living in perth any ways ?
Thanks for the reply :)
I have rellies that live in Leda, which I think is pretty close to Kwinana.
I added you on facebook anyway.
Perth is going good so far. Still getting settled into the new house and getting to know my way around, I don't have a car and am not very used to public transport yet.

Hey! My names Alysha I'm married 23 have an 11 month old DS and am due to have boy number two in early Feb of 2011! I live in North Perth which is just a few suburbs south of Nollamara down Charles Street. I've been looking into a Playgroup in yokine which is sort of in between us but the lady there said they're not taking new enrollments until the school term starts next year. Would love to meet some more local mums in the area before then though :)
Hi Alysha :-) Firstly what is DS?? I have seen it a few times but have no idea what it stands for.
I want to join a playgroup too, I just have no idea where to start. Whats the one in Yokine like? If you'd like to catch up before then I'm keen to also. :-)

Hi Casey! Im 24, Iv just moved to Balga wich is right next door to nollamara, we're building in this area so moved here to make it easier. My partners parents live in nollamara aswell so im always there aswell. Where did you move from? Feel free to add me to facebook http://www.facebook.com/?ref=logo#!/JessicaJane86
Iv got a 5 week old bubba boy, i dont go to any playgroups yet but if you hear of any good ones around us let me know and id love to go with you. Im looking for one aswell so ill let you know if i do :)
Hey there! I remember a few weeks ago I had to google what DS and DD and DH meant haha - from what I understood the S,D,H stand for son, daughter, husband etc... and the D stands for "dear" - go figure!!
Yeh the one in Yokine is apparently (from what I've heard) pretty good! They actually run three sessions daily, Monday to Friday... I've been to one group near me and the ladies were lovely, but that schedule doesn't fit with my little man's sleeping schedule anymore unfortunately!

That's their website!
Maybe we could all meet up for a coffee and chat sometime? My husband and I are doing up our investment in Balga at the moment so I'm around the area quite frequently - although less now that I'm about to pop haha...
Ahhh I see, now that I know what all those letters mean it makes alot more sense to me haha!
I am definately keen to catch up for a coffee and a chat. We moved down here from Kalgoorlie in September so I don't really know of anywhere that is good to go. I also don't have a car as my fiance takes ours to work every day and we aren't getting another one just yet. I'll have a look on the website for the Yokine one (thanks for the link to the website Alysha!) and maybe send an email to them to see what sessions are available and we could maybe go to one together. The ones I went to in Kalgoorlie weren't really that great as I found alot of the mums are a bit older than me.
If you want to arrange to catch up and meet I'm definately keen so just let me know times that suit you. I am going to Toodyay on christmas day but will probably come back on boxing day, so I am more than likely free the week between christmas and new years but I understand if this time is too hectic. :xmas:
Either way let me know and I really look forward to hearing from you.
Hey!!
Yeh this week is crazzzzzy hectic for me (and I'm sooo not in the mood I just wanna rest haha) - but the week after next everything is back to it's boring normal routine.. I don't have work every Tuesday and Thursday and cos I drop Steve to work each day I'm able to travel to where ever! So coffee somewhere close to you is totally possible..

theres lots of investment properties in this area now, i cant wait to sell ours and move away, there was a a girl murdered around the corner a couple months ago!!
Haha I know what u mean! We were there that night measuring the windows but left about 30 mins before it happened... I would have freaked if we'd been driving down camberwell n saw heaps of police cars!!
Well christmas is over for another year! Thankfully, as much as I do love it, it can become so hectic.
I hope I'm not anywhere near where that girl was murdered :-/ A bit scary. But I seem to be in a good area and have had no problems so far.
I have a lot of problems getting onto here as my internet seems very slow here but I am pretty sure I have added you both on facebook, so I will send you both an email on there to arrange to catch up and meet. I am looking forward to actually meeting someone down here!
Hope to hear from you both soon and keep an eye on your facebook accounts. :-)
