Im wondering how many people with twins or triplets put them in the same cot to sleep (as in 1 cot, with 2/3 babies in it)
Is this an old fashioned/out dated practise (I heard the babies sleep better when then can snuggle up to each other like they did in the mums belly :goodvibes:) I can imagine SIDS is probably against it???
Do people still do this these days or does every baby get its own bed?

I did it for the first few months and most Multiple mums I know did it in the early stages too. They shared a cot, side by side with their feet to the drop rail and then head to head at each end of the cot. SIDS are inconclusive on their research on sleeping twins in the same cot. It can benefit twins, particularly because a lot of twins are born early and/or small but can also be a risk with them smothering each other.
Its so much easier for settling them when they are in the same cot.
My 2 baby men slept side by side until about 3 months when 1 kept kitting the other. Half the time they co-slept with us! (thank God for the King sized bed)

My girls did for the first few weeks at home if they wouldnt settle. Other than that they were in their own beds in the same room.
My two boys share a cot still and they are almost 5 months old i think its cute the way they snuggle together:Cloud9Blue:
