My LP has gone from being 14 days before i had DD to 12 days after i had her.

My Af has also got a lot heavier and more painful.

Is this normal and has any one else had this happen and had #2 ok? I am just wondering if this has anything to do with how long it is taking us to concieve this time?

It can change usually around 14 days, mine hovered between 13 and 14. I don't think you want it too short as it doesn't allow time for implantation (say under 10 days ?)

Do you reckon that there really is a "normal" and an "abnormal" cycle. I don;t think anyone really knows what our bodies are meant to be doing by reading these threads! It seems like everyones bodies just decide to change things for the hell of it!

I wish there was a book that said "this is what your body should be doing and if its not than you are pregnant!" Wouldn't that be nice.

I wish sometimes that i was psychic!

I think this cycle is just out of whack as we did m/c last month.

I'm exactly the same. This is our 3 cycle of TTC and this mth I O'd on day 12 which was only 3 days after AF finished. I got AF for 9 days! Don't know whats going on with my body.
Before having DS I use to get such a light period and it use to go for only about 3 days.

For the last 2 months i have been saying "i give up" to trying to work it all out, but then my mind gets going and i get out the calendar, the OPK's, check CP, CM, feel boobs etc. and off i go - overannalysing, feeling phantom cramps, aches, symptoms!

Sometimes I read back on my TTC diary and my posts and laugh! I sound like a babbling crazy woman - then i realise that 90% of the people on Bubhub also sound like that!

HERE'S TO GOING INSANE WHILE TTC!!!!!!!:smiliedance: :yelclap:

Dr's. say that 12 days is long enough for implantation, so I don't think it will cause a problem but if it gets any shorter I would check into it. Good luck!

I have been thinking, as it can be a concern to have a short LP what about if you have a long one????

I ahve been wondering that too... I have tried to find info, but all I see is stuff about a short Luteul Phase. I think mine is long too. 17 days long unless I am not pin pointing O. Does anyone know about a Long Lutuel Phase???

I am on 21dpo today.. went to dr yesterday, he said it is normal to go a while without a period after a m/c and then wrote me up a script for the pill  Without even checking to see if I am pregnant or not!

Over the months I was charting, my LP went from 12 days to 18 days. It was different every month. I agree though, there's no such thing as "normal". As soon as you think you're having a "normal" cycle, something happens (temp goes funny, CM goes funny, you just feel funny) and it becomes not normal. When I was taking those herbs my LP went longer, so I am assuming before that it wasn't long enough for implantation.
