I posted this in general chat and then realised that its probably better here:
We are thinking aboutt what to do for my daughter's 6 year old party (she's in Pre-Primary).
We are north of the River in Perth
We are considering two things...the most economical way to create a fun and entertaining environment or being prepared to pay for it.
We were thinking on the lines of an animal farm or going to a park.
We were wondering if anyone had any experience and any feed back on animal farms, parks or anything similiar and costs? We are happy to have it at home too
We aren't interested in Mcdonald, Hungry Jack's, fun stations.
thanks
My daughter turned 6 in July and we did the whole fairy thing for her party and that was great, have been to a nursery farm party, where they bring the animals to you, kids loved it, there are so many things you can do and I agree the Hungry Jack/McDonalds thing would not be a choice I would make

I saw these guys at the Baby Expo and I think it was $300 for 2 or so hours. I think its a great idea - they bring everything to you.
wta about having it at the zoo, oh i cant remeber the name but there used to be this bus that went around that had a huge play gym inside that u could hire something like that could be fun

hi :)
baby farms are great, I've been to several of these and the kids always love it. i've also been to a party at a park where they had pony rides for the kids - 3 ponies that the kids could ride, + they played on the park equipment etc. another idea for a park party is there's a few companies that do activities with the kids, there's one mini circus one and one that does obstacle courses and games with lots of equipment. the zoo is another place as someone suggested, or you could do it at that animal farm in the swan valley instead of at a park. another idea is to hire a bouncy castle to put in the park, but strangers may come and use it which could be annoying. :smiliedance:

hello,
for my daugthers birthday this year she turned 8 we had two girls come over from parties kids remember and it was a bratz themed party and they played games etc for an hour and a half with the kids, then jenny from face painter extrodinare came and painted the kids faces and her son did balloon twisting, then the kids enjoyed pony rides on teenie weenie party ponies...it was great and we finished off with a pinata...At home parties are a bit more work but so much nicer I think, And for my first yr olds bday at the end of this month we have got animals on the run coming, A mini bouncy castle and its going to be farmyard theme and jenny the face painter coming again she is amazing, anyway hoping it will be nice weather...

oh yeh just remembered for her 6th bday, the little girl i look after had a "science" party. A girl came and did a science show with mini experiments that they watched, and gave out 3d glasses etc for the kids to use, then the kids all made "slime" that was clear with glitter in it (you can also have food colouring but they warn that it stains). the kids LOVED it, and u could also hire a proper fairy floss machine for an extra $50 i think it was... the girl then made fairy floss after the show for the kids. i can find out the name of the company that does these parties if ur interested. :smiliedance:

Thanks for all the tips.
We have chosen a fairy party...they were quite abit cheaper than a farm party and considering she's into such beautiful things, we decided that a fairy party was the way to go. I found a company that has quite reasonable prices, i'll let you know how it goes...its in November
We will probably go with a farm party for my son.
thanks again:thumbsup:
