Relocating

HI ladies

My hubby announced last night that he may be relocated to Woolongong and to start doing some research

Can you help?

What's it like to live there?
Where is a good place to live?
Where should we NOT live?
What are the groups like for 2 year olds? Playgroups, schools, childcare etc.

Hi Twiglet! We were in the same due in group in Oct 08 :D

Wollongong is a pretty family friendly place to live, plenty of playgroups in most areas, though depending on where you are looking for childcare it can be a bit hit and miss with vacancies and the likes.
In terms of where to live/ where not to live it comes down to where your hubby will be spending time, your budget and the likes. Generally the northern suburbs such as Thirroul, Bulli and Woonona are more expensive, with the southern suburbs being on the cheaper side. A lot of areas that have bad reputations actually have some decent areas within them.
