Has anyone tried this nappy before? If so how was it? Bulky? Absorbant? Suitable for newborn and toddler (like it says)?

It looks really interesting not quite a fitted but not quite a flat either.

I think it is a cover - like a wrap made of wool. I have seen them online and often wondered about them, as they wouldbe dead easy to knit. I'd be interested to hear from anyone who has seen/used one too.

No they are definately a nappy and need a cover. That's what makes them look so interresting I think.

The wee wuns stock them you can check them out in the fitted section:

I received the Disana knitted today. Its really weird! Will use it in the next few days. You need a cotton and paper liner so it is more like a cover! I read the instructions and seems simple enough...will see how I go!

I *thought* it would have to be like a wrap type cover. I'll be interested to see what you think though, as I still want one  I guess you could use it over a prefold or a flat too.

kymmy

That is what I will do - use a prefold.

wow...the nappy is soo soft, and quite trim so i didnt know how it would go, i used a hemp contour as a liner, this didnt work so well as bubs wee'd right through the hemp BUT the nappy itself was still completely dry....so i love ite...just need to find the right insert for it. And pretty easy to do up too, here is a pic.

P.S The Disana wool cover is great too......

I got the long pants btw. :D They looked huge but felted easy so wonderful for night.

As for the nappies I would prefer it for younger babies.
