Any kiwis in Brisbane interested in meeting up?

Hi,

We've been in Brissy 3 years and our little boy is 11 months. We love it here but sometimes it's hard without any family nearby (eg. on holidays like easter, and especially over the weekend when DS and I had a terrible stomach bug!). Sounds like a few of you might be in the same position as us.

Just wondering if anyone might be interested in meeting up sometime, maybe forming a mothers group. We live on the Southside pretty close to the city.

If your still there in 2008, we will!! We are in Perth at the moment but moving to Bris end of next yr. Perth is too far from NZ, cant wait to be living in the east.

I have been in Bris for two years and have made some great friends through this site, but I'd love to meet up with other Kiwis in Bris!!
I am flying to NZ in two days to visit my mum, so that will be cool!!
Its hard when you oly see your family once in a bluemoon, but I love it here and wouldnt move back to NZ now.
Le us know when and where you wnat to meet. Southbank or Roma st Park lands are good central spots.

I could also be keen for a meet up. We have been here since Nov last year, found a great playgroup, have made some friends and have a sister here but nothing like the network I had in NZ!
Will be busy for the next couple of weeks moving (ugh!), but generally I am free Wed - Fri mornings are best. I am also Southside, Springwood area. Somewhere the bubs could play would suit me.

Hi! i moved from hamilton to brissie in march... i moved here because my mum and dad are here, which is great to have them around... hard not having any friends though. im starting a part time tafe course in october, just for a term to try and meet some new people... so i cant meet up on a mon or wednesday.but any other day id love to catch up..... im in Wynnum West :)

hi, i moved to oz in 1997 my sister was here she went back in 1997 i stayed on. its been hard not having any family in oz and all my friends have recently moved, i live in toowoomba and hopefully going to chch in dec/jan for 6 weeks, get a bit expensive flying with 3 kids

I am new to Brissy and have a son (6) and daughter (3). I live in Springwood (Logan). Could be keen to chat or meet up. I really just hang out with my sister who has baby twins and lives up the road..;)
