Hi all,
My DD2 is 7 weeks old and as of yesterday she is in infant sized nappies.

She was in huggies for newborn, then a friend of my suggested Aldi's so that's what she has been in for only 1 day.

But she has developed a rash already- do I
*just apply cream on it and stay with Aldi's brand? If so what cream is best? I used to use bepanthan for DD1
*change her back into huggies? and also apply cream until it clears up.

The rash is very red looking with spots like it's about to bleed.

TIA

It sounds very likely. DD1 would get nappy rash soooooo easily, and of the disposables, I found Huggies were the best, but she would still get some rash with them.

I found for her, that cloth nappies were the best of all. I think some little ones just have more sensitive skin than others.

Good luck! Nappy rash can be such a pain to get rid of sometimes, hope it clears up soon for you (and her).

Yep, sounds like the nappies, if nothing else if different (eg more poos than normal, not as regular changing)

My DD could only wear Huggies or cloth until around 6 months of age, or else she'd get bad nappy rash.

Id change back to Huggies and keep up with the nap rash cream. If you want to try again once it's cleared up, that will tell you for sure whether it was the nappies or not.

My baby health nurse has told the group that a some nappies in some babies can cause nappy rash. As well as some wipes.

I would go back to the old nappy. It might cost a little more than aldi but it will cost you just as much to get rid of the nappy rash.

I was using huggies wipes with the huggies nappies no problem. I changed to coles brand nappy wipes and we started seeing a reaction slight redness. So now we have gone back to huggies wipes as before.
