Of course i will let you know how it goes. I am still having trouble wrapping my head around the fact that i won, but then again, i enter EVERYTHING, so i have won quite a few little things over the years... this is certainly the biggest though!
countrymumma2b, I am a skeptic, but not a cynic so i always go into everything with caution but keep a very open mind, thanks for the tip:), i am not expecting miracles or anything, but i do think John is the most convincing psychic i have ever come across... tomorrow will tell :yes:.
spiritualmama, i am not allowed to tape it:no:, as it may effect the phone connection, however, it is being transcribed and will be printed in New Idea (forgot to ask which issue, will ask 2morrow). Sorry for replying so late... have been super busy.
Well firstly, When i spoke to John Edwards (JE)rep on Wednesday, she asked what number he should ring me on and i said the mobile, coz the home phone is playing up and cuts out when it's answered... so there i was, waiting for JE to call at 9.30 yesterday and the home phone rang... i picked it up... it cut out! I was like :eek::heywhat: "I just cut off JE!!! AAARRRGGGHHH"
Anyway, he called back on the mobile (thank god, lol). I was sooo nervous, didnt expect to be because i am usually pretty unfazed by fame, but i was trembling and my mouth was all dry... until i started talking to him, then i was fine, really relaxed :).
So, not sure how much detail i am allowed to use here, as the article hasn't yet been published in new idea, but he was REALLY accurate! Of the 20 or so things he brought up, about 15 were spot on, about 3 are maybe right, but i need to talk to family to confirm some things, and only about 2 of the things he mentioned were like :confused: (one was regarding a particular date and the other was regarding a medical thing).
He connected with my DH's Nanna first, accurately confirmed some dates of things e.t.c, she sent some pink roses to DH, "their" way of showing love, awww:)
Then he connected with my Dad and WOW! after a few little things like confirming dates, names e.t.c & telling me something about my childhood that was spot-on, he then told me about something i have of my dads that was SOOO accurate and random (something that is probably not a usual item to be handed down) i actually cried a little bit at that (with happiness, of course, lol)! He also mentioned the placement of a photo of my dad in my home, as in, what it was next to:cantbelieveit:I am pretty convinced now!
My dad was teasing my DH about something, which is exactly how my dad was when he was alive :laughing:

I will reply here again after the article is published and re-cap the reading for everyone who doesn't read new idea (feel a bit guilty about this, but i very very rarely read womens mags & actually entered this comp online... i havent bought new idea for ages, :o).

All in all, I feel as though JE definitely has an amazing ability and he was very nice and easy to talk to. It was a very exciting experience and although it wasn't exactly life changing (because i already strongly believe in life-after-death... but... if i were a non-believer, i would now be a believer!) I feel EXTREMELY lucky to have such a wonderful experience :yes::cloud9:

The lady from new idea said that it would be edited for size so after they publish it, i will post the full transcript here (i am assuming i get a copy, if not, i will have to try to fill in the blanks from memory and what i wrote down during the reading).

:hyper:oh that is so exciting, lucky thing. I have read that part in the magazine waiting for my doctor etc, as I don't buy it either and I think it is a regular part of their magazine. It is a really small bit of writing though, very edited down i would imagine from what you have said he told you. They should do a whole page on it, people would be more interested than a hard to understand blurb (leaves out too much info in my opinion) then again at least your privacy is assured :thumbsup: So yeah, based on what I have seen in the mag, we won't get much info out of that.. you will have to come back and post more after it has been published! prettty pleaaase!

Yeah, the actual reading went for about half an hour, so i am not sure if that is the norm.. i would assume most people who have done it would get about that amount of time?!?!?!
Also, the lady from new idea said that i can request to have parts removed if i dont want them published. with my reading, there is one thing i don't want published (i mention that my excommunicated mum is a heroin addict and if she happened to see that, she would probably try to sue the mag... she tries to sue everyone :gloomy:) but it would be interesting to know how much other people request to be removed.

Awww suchislife :hugs: You could still enter... the magazine allowed me to choose anything that i didnt want published, so if you won, you could just omit the parts that you dont have permission for, IYKWIM.
Found out today that my reading will be published in the edition that comes out on the 7th Feb. After that, i get emailed a copy of my full transcribed reading, so will post it here.
KiaKai and MelbourneMummy, i agree too... i have always believe JE to be one of the very few genuine ones, my reading has sort of cemented that belief for me. The couple of things that i was unsure of, i have a feeling will come to light later on in time (apparently happens alot with JE readings, people later realising/discovering what he meant, kwim?).
I can't stop thinking about it, i am trying to get an essay done for uni and my mind keeps drifting back to the reading :laughing: bugger! I shouldn't complain, i am VERY lucky :yes:

I am so surprised by how much they edited it :heywhat: they didnt even edit it completely in Johns favour and left out a few of the :eek: moments of the reading!?!?!?

As i was saying yesterday, a few things have come to light since the reading and even though they aren't totally amazing correlations, they are pretty nifty ;)
Firstly, JE said there would be a change in schooling soon for one of my kids but, at the time of the reading, i thought there was no chance of my DD1 changing schools (as we planned to live in our current area for as long as possible), so i assumed it was in relation to my uni. Anyway, since the reading, we have unexpectedly been offered an opportunity to move and are now seriously considering it. Obviously, if we do, my DD1 will change schools!
Secondly, JE mentioned a male "R" name on my DH's side. There was no male "R" names on his side at the time of the reading, as far as anyone knew, but since then, my SIL has given birth to her little boy, who she intended to call an "A" name at the time of the reading, but changed her mind just before the birth, a couple of weeks ago and called him an "R" name that sounds very much like the examples JE gave (because JE was saying "it's like Robert or Richard, something like that")!
Anyway, as i said, not completely ground breaking but these certainly increase JE's accuracy rating for my reading :D
