Just wondering if you can put the bottles and teats in the dishwasher to clean them? We will be stopping sterilising soon so it would be great to skip the handwashing too whenever possible

Of course you can! Putting them in the dishwasher will actually sterilise them because of the very high water temperature.

Thanks ladies! For those of you who use the dishwasher, do you put the teats in some sort of container so they don't fly around the machine?!

you can put them in dishwasher, top shelf...
the teats would go in cutlery rack or similar...
but usually dont come clean properly & you still have to wash them correctly anyway...
something to think about tho...
our household has recently done this - as hard as it was, is
"do you know what dishwashing powders are made of? would you knowingly give these chemicals to your bub?"...
no matter what anyone says,
they doooo not wash out - especially of porous items such as teats...
thats why you will find things disintegrating & fading after a while...
dont assume because they sell something on the market that it means it is safe:idea:

I used to put my ds#2's bottles in there all the time but was told by my cyh nurse to make sure they are dry coming out cause if the dishwasher doesn't wash properly and the bottles still have water droplets on them they have to be steralised again.
