shaving/heat rash... but not... ???

Garrett (13 weeks) developed a rash that looked like shaving or heat rash on his belly yesterday. It has now spread up his chest on his neck, face and arms. It isnt in his nappy area at all... It isnt "covering" him - but it is alot more than there were before. There are some larger (almost pimple with out the puss) spots, but more of the smaller ones.

Nothing in his or my diet has changed recently - the only thing that is different is that he started at the child care at the gym last week....

Any ideas - we are taking him to the dr tonight or tomorrow anyway.

Doc last night said it is a rash caused by a viral infection... poor little man, he isnt having the best luck with things... So now just to keep an eye on the usual of temp and fluids...

thanks bec - yeah its not fun... he got really sick at 2-3 weeks, so its kinda like a repeat....

I hate it when my boys are sick, and you feel like a walking zombie cause even when they are sleeping you are up and down checking on them

- yup - I have heard from lots of people .. that as a virus LEAVES a baby's body .. they can get a rash (just to freak their mother out that little bit more .. sheesh)
