I am sooooooo stressed out right now. I have an almost 15month old dd who will not sleep in her own cot anymore.
She was a good bub and slept through the night from 5 weeks and never had a problem sleeping in her cot. I use to be able to put her star show music light on at night time and put her to bed and she would put herself to sleep.
When she got her 12 month immunisations she was really sick for over a week and as I had just put a bed on laybuy for christmas I already had a bed rail so I put it on my bed and allowed her to sleep with with me to make it easier to settle her at night. It worked well but when I tried to put her back in her cot she woulnt sleep. She ended up getting 4 moulers through at this stage so I thought that was the case so I let her continue to sleep in the bed. I am now unable to put her in the cot and after hours of screaming I end up giving in to her. I need some ideas please I really want to get her to sleep by herself and I wanted to put her in her bed in the new year but I need to have her sleeping by then or she will just be climbing out all night. I also start back at work this coming week so it is going to be a struggle:(:(

Sounds to me she just wants comfort from her mum.

I would just continue to co sleep, she won't sleep with you forever and she will go to her big bed when she is ready.

My DS was the same, wouldn't sleep anywhere apart from me, but in the last month or so he has been wanting to sleep in his bed.

Sounds like she isn't ready to sleep on her own, which is normal for a baby.

I wouldn't be forcing her to sleep in her bed unless she is ready. Otherwise it will be stressful for you, and most of all stressful and upsetting for her.

Can you perhaps pull the side off the cot and have it right up against your bed, so she is close but not in your bed? And then gradually move the cot away?
