ok, DP has 2 brothers, 1 older and 1 younger and he has 1 younger sister. i havent ever met the older brother (4 yrs older then dp) because he is in melbourne in like a psych ward style jail (thats how dp explained to me lol)
anyway, DP wants nothign to with him at all. and MIL always mentions to DP when BIL1 (older one) is coming down on a visit to geelong, like DP is spose to jump up and down really happy about it. DP doesnt want me or ds1 or #2 to ever met BIL1 because from the little info DP has told me BIL1 is in the jail for sex related crimes and thats why DP wants nothing to do with him.

anyway, MIL has mentioned briefly that BIL1 is getting released i think later this yr or early next yr and she wants BIL1 to met ds1 and #2:no: and she has cracked it coz DP has said very firmly hell no and i said no as well. she thinks we are overreacting, but i dont think DP is as he knows the whole story and stuff. and from the little info BIL2 and DP have given me over the time i have been with DP i belive the crimes were against minors, if that is true how can MIL be so stupid as to want to force us to be nice to BIL1 and introduce him to ds1 and #2??!!:mad:
BIL2 doesnt want anything to do with BIL1 either and MIL has accepted that. she forces SIL to go see BIL1 with her. but MIL cant accept that BIL1 wont met DS1 or #2 or me. its not like he has been in jail for a short time he has been there my guess 7-10 yrs or little less then that. buts it more then 3 years i know that much

Hey, just wanted to say I totally agree!
Does BIL2(younger) have any kids??

I'd just be thinking your MIL is stuck in having a happy family, which is impossible... but some mother's try to hold everything together..

I hope everything is going ok, and just a thought, make sure MIL doesn't organise any surprise visits after the BIL1 gets out! :hugs:

Stick to your guns hon, afterall they ARE your kids and not hers. For all you know or your MIL that once your BIL gets out of jail he could be worse from being locked up for atleast 7 years. He could go on a rampage. I know of two sitautions like this (not for sex with a minor) but once someone is locked up for that amount of time they either make a go of it which is very rare or get worse.

If your MIL can't understand the reasons as to you and your kids not wanting to know the BIL then she is insane, sorry but as we all know sex with a minor is a massive offence and very digusting and offences like that usually that person never changes. If i were in your situation, i wouldn't run the risk either :hugs:

i just had to get it out...if i didnt i prolly would have ending up getting narky at DP for something silly lol
and to answer questions: nope BIL2 is only17 and is more into his sports then girls so no kids. DP is the only one with kids.
SIL is 15. and BIL1 is 25 or going to be 25 very soon.

i presume when BIL1 is back in geelong he will have a set of conditions coz MIL had to get permission for SIL to see him :confused:
